In Hexside school of magic and demonics, there was a specific student. She was respected, but only because the student and teachers alike, feared her. Her magic was strong. Though she focused primarily on potions, she could do any other kind of magic with the flick of her wrists. She was quick in spell casting.

To make matters worse she was born into a rich family, she was the captain of the banshees, and everyone did as she said. She was ruthless and cold blooded, but no one ever knew why. No one bothered to find out what made her this way.

Most claimed it was because she was a spoiled demon that became too powerful. Others thought it was the pure fact she was a halfling and she needed to perish. However, none of them realized what truly caused it...

However, when that human came along, people stopped fearing her. They had heard and seen her power many times, but they thought she was weak now. In reality, the "ruthless" and "cold blooded" demon just never sought to physically harm anyone. In fact. When she learned she had caused one of her opponents to break their leg, she was upset. She had skipped a week of school after the match, but claimed she had been sick when she came back.

She had definitely lost popularity and her lackeys no longer followed her around. She became shut off. Eventually she left the Banshees, and she deleted her penstagram account. Students didn't care. Some found it surprising, yes, but no one questioned what had happened.

It was Monday morning. The young demon walked into the school. Everyone was chatting with their friends. It was loud. Too loud for the halfling. Her long pointed ears twitched before angling downward. She had a headache because her horns had started to grow in.

She walked down the hall to her class. People bumped into her and continued on like she wasn't there. Like they hadn't run into anything. It had been happening for a little over a week. People just pretend like she's invisible. It had begun to claw at her. She felt so alone, but she didn't understand her own emotions. The pain, grief and regret she felt, she changed it to anger.
She walked into class her pupils slitted, heat radiating from her horns. She swore if anyone so much as touched her she would make sure they never wanted to look in a mirror again.
The chair beside hers was pulled out, and she looked over. She saw someone she was not expecting to see.

"Hey, Boscha." The sickening voice of her worst enemy split through the air.

"What do you want?" She hissed.

"Whoa, no need to be so hostile!" The girl sighed. "You have seemed a bit... I don't know... distant? I just wanted to make sure everything was okay..."

The halfling almost smiled. Somebody cared about her... The demon laughed. She wasn't stupid. No one cared about her. She was a disgusting hybrid and people just pretended she didn't exist now. They wouldn't even notice if she left Hexside and never returned. Her laughter turned to something almost psychopathic. Her slitted pupils were nothing but thin lines in her eyes now. The girl beside her could feel the heat radiating off her horns now.

She turned to face her. She stopped her laughter. She stood, leaning forward and getting in her enemy's. Her hand shot forward, wrapping firmly around the girl's throat.

"Don't act like you care, human."

The human struggled in Boscha's grasp. She was struggling to breath.

"Let Luz go you monster!" The demon had no time to respond as a vine wrapped around her arm, thorns digging into her skin.

She hissed in pain, releasing her enemy. Luz stumbled backwards a bit.

"You better stay away from her from now on!"

"She's the one that approached me half-a-witch." She drew a small circle and the vine on her wrist caught flame. "So, let me give you two a warning now. Don't come near me again, or I'll make it to where you never want to show yourselves in public again." She drew another circle, healing the burns and puncture wounds on her arm.

She plopped back down in her seat and turned to the front of the class.

"Why are you so cruel?!" The plant witch was clearly angered.

"Why do you care, Willow!" She drew two circles. One spell shielded her hands and forearms, the other caught her hands on fire. "You didn't care before! Why are you caring now?!"

"Both of you to Principal Bumps office now!" The teacher yelled as he had walked into the classroom.

Boscha glared at him before releasing an annoyed huff. The fire subsided and she walked out of the class. The other witch followed after her.

They both entered the principal's office. Bump already knew that the two didn't get along, they never had. However, he intended to fix that. He was going to force them to get along. He drew a circle and both girl's were transported somewhere.

They seemed to be in a living room. They could see the outside. The place was surrounded by black trees. Snow fell from the sky covering the ground and the tops of the trees in a blanket of white.

"Where the heck are we!" The demon screamed out, irritated.

"This is you girls' temporary home. Learn to enjoy it. To enjoy each other's presence because there is no way out." Their principal's voice echoed through the air. "You will have to rely on each other's knowledge, and strengths in order to make it back home. Once you learn to get along, I'll bring you two back."

"So, what? You're like watching us?" The halfling was revolted by the thought.

"No, the house will read both of you girls' emotions. Once you two have grown a stable relationship, you'll be brought back."

The two girls looked at each other. Boscha glared at her and the plant witch rolled her eyes.

"I guess we don't have much of a choice now." She grumbled.

"This is your fault." The demon hissed.

"My fault?! How dare you! If anything it's your fault!"

Willow growled in response. They continued to bicker. They didn't like being trapped in each other's presence one bit.
