"Do you need any help Kacchan?" 5 year old Izuku Midoryia offered his hand to help pull his friend Katsuki out of the water. They were currently at the park and were chasing each other on the log above the water. Katsuki being the clumsy boy he was, slipped off of the log and landed into the water. Imindently Izuku went to help him out. As they got out of the water,Katsuki pushed Izuku,"i didn't need your help useless deku" and with that he stomped off into the distance towards his house.
Izuku, not wanting to be alone, Ran after Katsuki. Once he caught up, They were already at Katsuki's house. "Why'd you follow me Deku? Go home" Katsuki frowned at Deku and turned to run up to his porch, opening the door he went inside. Slamming it shut, not bothering to check if his friend needed help getting home. Izuku's eyes started watering.
"Sorry Kacchan" He whispered to himself before wiping his face with his sleeve and turned around.
He turned looked around the neighborhood. He saw a familiar big blue and grey house with painted roses on the sides, he sighed. He walked up to the house.
"Your home already?" Inko, Izuku's mother was currently taking off izuku's sweater and boots, and checking for scratches or bruises. "I thought you were staying at Katsuki's house?" she got up and threw the sweater into the laundry basket. "Kacchan went home" Izuku simply said, walking upstairs to his bedroom.
"Don't go up yet hun, dinner is almost done!" Inko called up the stairs before Izuku reached his door. Sighing, Izuku walked back down the stairs. "I don't wanna eat tonight mom" he frowned and started back upstairs. "Wait!" Inko called after Izuku but it was too late. He had gone and shut his door. She figured he probably wanted to be alone right now, he'd eventually want to come and eat. He always does.
The following morning, Izuku woke to the sound of a moving truck. He sat up and sleepily rubbed his eyes. Once he was fully awake, he went to look outside of his window. Kacchans house? He quickly ran downstairs to find his mother.
"Mom!" he repeatably yelled through the house until he found her on the porch. She was laughing and talking to a tall lady with blonde hair.
As Izuku got closer, he saw that it was Katsuki's mom. What was she doing here? "Mom?" Inko turned round to the little voice and spotted her son. "Oh good morning Zuku, did you sleep alright?" She smiled and bent down to pick the kid up. Izuku nodded his head "mom why are the moving trucks at Kacchan's house?" he looked up at his mother.
Katsuki's mother answered "Well, me and Katsuki's father found work somewhere else, so we needed to move. Is that okay?" She smiled and looked at Izuku. "oh....can I say bye?" Izuku looked over to where he saw Kacchan sitting on the steps of his home.
"Sure, go right ahead" and with that, Izuku hopped out of his mother's arms and walked over to Kacchan. Still in his Pj's and slippers. "Deku?" Kacchan stood up seeing his friend slowly walk up to him. "Kacchan you're leaving me?" Izuku stopped in front of Katsuki.
"It's not my fault, my parents needed to leave" Katsuki looked down, he was honestly sad that he was leaving his only real friend he's ever had.
Even though Izuku followed him everywhere, and annoyed the mess out of him. He still couldn't imagine being comfortable without Izuku by his side. He soon felt wet hot tears roll down his face. Quickly wiping them off, he looked up to see Izuku crying himself.
"Deku are you crying?" he got closer to him and looked under the hand that Deku was using to cover his face. He was crying. "Hey Deku don't cry, you nerd. We'll meet again one day. Promise. " Katsuki then went up to Izuku and wrapped his arms around him. Suprised, Izuku hugged back.
"P-promise?" Izuku asked through light sniffles.
"Promise" Katsuki repeated.
