A Dɪғғᴇʀᴇɴᴛ Kɪɴᴅ Oғ Lᴏᴠᴇ

Escape

A large, mechanical bear that looks like it was based off of Monokuma appears. Kaito steps aside, not being able to fight because of the boy in his arms, only to spring a trap for a cage. A very small cage. Korekiyo and Rantaro, Kaede and Kirumi, plus Miu and Maki were stuck in the same way. Kiibo prepares to protect the others, Shuichi pulls out a knife to fight with, Gonta decides to help them. The rest were panicking or fighting off smaller bears.

Ouma's eyes open, to find himself in a small, metal space. His mind immediately goes back to the press before he died. His body begins to shake, and he curls up tightly, quiet sobs escaping him.

Kaito, taking initiative, holds one of the boy's hands. "It's okay... You're here, with me. You're safe. You're safe here. There's no press, no execution. You're safe and alive."

His words must have reached the liar, because he throws his arms around Kaito, still sobbing. It definitely wasn't his fake one.

With Shuichi, the bear was definitely winning. Gonta is against a wall, where he'd been flung, head bleeding. Ryoma sits next to him, using his jacket to try stop the bleeding of the unconscious boy. Kiibo had had to go back, some of his metal off, now revealing his inner workings, putting him in a vulnerable condition. Now, Shuichi was alone.

He darts aside, rolling as he dodges a swipe of the paw. The knife was released to prevent himself from getting injured.

"Maki! How do kill this thing?!"

"I'm not an expert on mechanics! Cut off it's head, maybe?!" She yells back to the detective. He nods, grabbing his knife again.

"Angie, distract it!" He calls out. Angie nods, darting out.

"Atua says you shall not live to the end of the day, bear!" She declares, running forward. The bear swipes out it's paw, which Angie ducks under.

Now, Shuichi could strike.

He struggles to climb up the fur. If it weren't for Angie, he may be dead already.

As he reaches the neck, he clasps the bear with his legs, like on a wild horse. With one hand, he raises the knife. It stabs into the neck. The bear growls, swiping Shuichi with his claws. He falls to the ground, holding his face.

The bear keels over, dead. Angie runs  over to Shuichi while Kiibo gets everyone else out of their cages. Miu fixes up the robot, Ryoma patches up Gonta, and Kaito patches up Shuichi, Kokichi asleep against the wall.

"Is everyone okay now? No extra injuries?" Kaede asks. When everyone confirms they're okay, the group continues. Shuichi clings onto Kaito's arm, his eyes having to have been covered in cloth to him from bleeding.

Soon, they begin to see light. Kirumi goes through first, Kaede still on her back. Rantaro, Korekiyo, and Kiibo follow. Next comes Maki, Miu, Kaito, Kokichi, and Shuichi, Gonta and Ryoma, then they just keep coming through. Soon, a group of fifteen students are crowded around a hole in the ground.

"What do we do now?"
