Ok first off, I wanna dedicate this chapter to Nasya, Abi, and Olivia because to make a long story short, they gave me a really good idea for this chapter. It was originally just a joke, but I've decided to actually do it. Go follow them, Racheldewen, olaola9, and the_ab. Thanks guys!

I sat nervously in the front seat of Carter's convertible trying to control my rapidly shaking leg and contain my anxiousness. His injuries weren't totally healed yet, but he was well enough to drive on his own and walk without assistance.

He was going on about something I hadn't really been listening to, so when he looked up and smiled at me, I pretended to know what he was talking about and said,"Ya! Totally!!"

"...uh, no, I asked you how you started punning.." he said quizzically. Crap, of course I just embarrassed myself.

"Oh, sorry, he he.." I replied as I could feel my face start to heat up.

"Haha, that's fine," he said to me with a grin.

"Anyway, I have basically been punning since I was little. Really it's just a natural thing for me. I hear a sentence, then the pun pops into my head and bam, it's out," I told him.

"Wow, that really cool Izzy! I never knew that about you," he replied.

"Well yeah, we never really talked until the pun-off," I answered him. Uh oh, was that too awkward? Should I have said that??

"Oh yeah, true," he exclaimed. "Alright we're here, have you ever been to the Pun Bowl before?" he asked me while parallel parking his vehicle.

"Yeah last year I think. But um, I just watched, I didn't actually play," I told him honestly.

"Serious??" He asked astonished. Nodding my head in reply he just stared at me in disbelief before saying,"It's so fun! Come on, I'll show you a-ROUND! Get it, get it?"

Personally, not the best pun I've heard, but I wasn't going to hurt his feelings. "Yes Carter, I get it," I said to him earning a toothy grin. Gosh he was cute!

"Uh... I have a big GRIN on my face and too many TEETH in my mouth," I said trying to fit a couple puns in that sentence.

It turns out that the Pun Bowl wasn't as stressful as I thought it would be. The rules were pretty simple, you take a bowling ball, throw it down the lane, a sentence pops up on the screen, and then you have to make a few puns before the ball gets to the end. It sounds hard, but really it wasn't.

Once I sent the ball down the bowling lane, my sentence was,'I love the dentist!'. So I included two puns in my sentence before the ball was at the end.

"That was awesome! You're a natural! Haha," said Carter giving me a smile revealing his perfectly straight teeth.

"Thanks! Ok Tommy, your turn," I said to a boy who I had just met. I guess he was another friend of Carter's. He had blonde hair swept to the side with pretty brown eyes.

Thankfully, there was a group of about 8 people here instead of just me and Carter. They were all amateur punners, but cool guys nonetheless.

"Ok guys, here goes nothing," said Tommy, winding up to send the ball down the strip of wood. Soon the bowling ball was flying down the lane and his sentence had popped up.

'Big burgers with a side of tomato', it said. Why was it that everyone else was getting easy sentences except me?

"Ok, uh, why is this KETCHUP so GREASY?" he said, obviously under a high level of stress. That sentence was alright I guess, but I could easily have done much better.
