The Life Changing Trip

Chapter ten

* Renee's pov *

The next day, I get up and notice Hayley was already out of her bed. I go into the bathroom and see that the mark Grayson left was still visable. I hide it with my hair and leave to go downstairs.

Megan and Hayley had the tv on. Her mom and dad went to work and left us home alone. They had told Megan we could go shop or do anything, just don't get into trouble. 

I open the pantry and pull out the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My mom didn't buy this cereal so I was happy to finally eat it again, I hadn't had it in so long!

"Guys," Hayley says, looking at her phone.

"What?" Megan and I both say at the same time.

"Ethan texted me and said that Reed is missing," Hayley sounded worried, still looking at her phone.

"What?" I say out of confusion.

"Yea," Hayley replies.

"Well, where could he have gone? Why would he leave," Megan questions.

"I don't know," Hayley shrugs.

"I know why he left. Grayson," I get out my phone to text him.

(M-Me, G-Grayson)

M: Grayson, wheres reed?

G: why would i know

M: because you and him were in the house after i left

G: Renee, i dont care where he is. i didnt even see him after you left. he didnt come with us to get dinner last night

M: do you have an idea of where he could have gone?

G: i dont know! ask ethan or lancifer

M: ugh. ok

(M-Me, L-Lancifer)

M: Lancifer, do you know where reed could have went?

L: no idea. try calling him or something?

M: ok

I decide to listen to Lancifer and I call him.

"Hello?" Reed picks up.

"Where are you," I say.

"The mall. Meet me at Abercrombie and Fitch. Come alone," Reed hangs up. Weird.

I start to leave to walk out the front door.

"Where are you going?" Megan asks.

"I think I know where he is, I will just catch a taxi and go alone. Stay here in case he comes over here or something," I say.

"I doubt he would, but okay," Hayley replies.

I leave them and start walking to an area where I could catch a taxi, near the boys' hotel. I catch a taxi and ask the driver to take me to the mall. 

At the mall, I make my way to Abercrombie and Fitch. I go inside and look around for Reed. I see him and walk to him.

"Reed! Why did you run away," I ask.

"Just to get some time to myself," He sighs.

"Oh, okay. Next time, tell everyone! We were all worried," I hug him. He had his hands on my waist and as we hugged, I could feel him pull me closer. When I let go of him, I noticed that his nose looked bruised and I'm sure it hurt, but it looked a lot better from yesterday.

"How is your nose," I ask him.

"It's fine," He replies. 

"Are you sure? It looks like it hurts," I cup his chin in my hand and look at his nose a little better.

"I'm fine," He repeats. 

"Reed. I know you aren't fine," I look into his electric blue eyes and then without thinking, I kiss his lips. He was surprised, but then he slowly started to kiss me back. I had my arms around his neck and his arms were around my waist. Our lips fit perfectly and moved well together. He was more passionate than Grayson. After kissing, he pulls me into a hug and then gives me a quick kiss on my forehead. 

"Who did that," He noticed the hickey on my neck. 

"Oh," I blush a little, "Grayson. Yesterday when you left, he and I made out and yea..."

"Oh," He fixes my hair to cover it, "Do you want another one?"

"Reed!" I laugh.

"What?" He started to laugh, too. 

"Nothing, let's go somewhere." I say. 

"Like?" He asks.

"I don't know!" I grab his hand and we left the store. 

We walked around the mall and finally got bored. I felt my phone buzz, so I checked it to see a text from Hayley.

(M-Me, H-Hayley)

H: Hey. meg and i are going out to look for reed too, okay?

M: alright thats fine

I don't tell them that I had already found him.

"Reed, let's go back to my cousin's house. No one is home," I put my phone away.

"Okay," He smiles.

We catch a taxi back to the house. I unlock the door with the spare key that is under a rock in the lawn that my cousin keeps there for emergencies. Maggie barks at us, but I quiet her down. We go upstairs to the room I was staying in. I sit on my bed and he sits next to me.

"What if Grayson finds out that you kissed me again," Reed asks.

"Then he finds out. I know he will be mad and all, but I think he is just jealous of you and I singing in Magcon and hanging out more often than him and I," I reply.

"Yea. I guess that's true," Reed kisses me again. He slips of my shirt and started to kiss my chest. I knew what  he was doing, making a mark like Grayson had. His lips felt soft against my skin. When he was done kissing my chest, he moved up to my lips. I decided to give him a hickey on his neck, which wasn't a good idea because there was no way that he could hide it. 

"We should stop," Reed stops kissing me.

"Why," I say between kissing his cheek, close to his lips.

"You're with Grayson, not me. This is wrong. Grayson's my best friend," He moves away from my kisses.

"So? He won't know," I tug at his shirt, pulling it over his head. 

"And Hayley is your best friend and I know she likes me. She would be mad if she found out you went behind her back and Grayson's," Reed takes his shirt back out of my hands and starts to put it back on. 

"How would they find out," I wasn't kissing him, but was just sitting there, on his lap, in my black bra.
