Dictionary definition: Queer erasure is a heteronormative cultural tendency to remove queer groups intentionally or unintentionally from record, or to dismiss or downplay their significance.
My definition: Erasure is when someone denies that a lgbtq+ identity exists and/or tries to make it invalid.
Other: If someone tries to perform erasure on you, punch them in the face. I'm kidding, don't do that. Just ignore them (yeah right) or try to further explain. Or go wave a pride flag in their face. Any of these ways work.
