arning: Lots of cursing coming up
Harper Marie Kings
I hesitated a bit but realised there was no way I could escape this. I stood up from my chair and turned slowly towards the direction of the voice.
In front of me stood a fuming Kylie, the colour of her face almost matching her red hair. If she was a cartoon, there would probably be smoke coming out of her ears. I tried not to laugh at her face because it seemed very inappropriate in the current situation I was in.
This pretty little redhead seldom lost her cool. She wasn't the stereotypical popular bitch we all seem to have in our various high schools. On the contrary, she was pretty chill and nice and sweet.
The reason she was popular was probably because her father owned the school.I stared her in the eye for a couple of seconds before slowly trailing my eyes to those who came in with her. Carson stood at her left holding Kylie's arm, probably trying to calm her down. Doesn't seem so effective now, does it?
Ted was standing to her right with his eyes solely glued to his soon to be ex;- girlfriend. And then there was Neil, my soon to be ex - boyfriend. He was avoiding my eyes at all cost but I managed to catch a glimpse of his full face and he looked so dejected, it broke me.
I sighed and opened my mouth to talk.
"Don't give me any fucking excuse, you little slut," Kylie cut me off.
OK, I pretty much deserved it but I couldn't help but feel a little hurt by her words, then I remembered she must be much more hurt right now.
She continued," All this fucking while, you've been thinking of my fucking boyfriend who you fucking told me you had no feelings for!! I came to you Harper! I fucking came to you and asked if your stupid crush on him was still there. And you fucking told me you didn't, Harper! You fucking told me you didn't like him anymore! I didn't want to fucking hurt you by being with the guy you liked but you didn't seem to have a problem with that did you?! You're such a slut. You're nothing but a filthy whore and you disgust me Harper," her words were laced with such venom I've never heard from her before and they stung so fucking much. I didn't notice until I felt a tickling warmth on my face that realised I was in tears.
Kylie was my best friend. She's the closest to a sister I had. I had known her since before middle school. She and I used to do everything together and we were inseparable. I vowed to never hurt and betray her. I didn't realise until too late that I had done both at the same time.
Now here stood my "best friend" with all the hatred of the world directed towards me and it felt... it felt sad. Her next words pierced through me like a poisoned dagger.
