-happy late Halloween!

Morro was the stereotypical emo. He wore black (with lots of green), owned edgy things, and probably had a liking for Hot Topic. What the ninja didn't know was that he was more of a softie than he let on.

Today was Halloween and it started out with rushing to some far corner of Ninjago. There was a distress call, and it turned out some lady lost her son while he was out with his friends for the holiday. Morro was quick to Sherlock the case and solve it (the kid was in a park in the village over), so the ninja were well on their way home.

He stood in the kitchen as the Bounty smoothly sailed through the skies. The room was completely empty and he smiled to himself. It was nice having some alone time instead of hearing all the ninja talk, and talk, and talk (like they always did). Morro shook his head to himself and opened the fridge to get a snack.

He thought back to a few days ago when Jay put on a a movie called 'The Lorax'. At the time, Morro had rolled his eyes and complained how it wasn't a horror movie, but the truth was, he adored The Lorax because it was funny. If he were still alive when movies became a thing, then it would surely be his childhood favourite.

"How b-a-a-d can I be? I'm just doing what comes naturally, how--"

There was a snort from the door and Morro's heart jumped out of his chest. He stiffly turned around to meet your amused smirk, heart sinking at the realisation that he had been caught. "You said you hated that movie." you noted with a smile. "How do you know the lyrics to that song?"

Morro's eyes were as wide as a dear in headlights. "I think you heard wrong." He closed the fridge, tossing the apple in his hand to save face. "I like rock and the occasional pop. I'm not into musicals unlike some people, (Y/n)." You merely smirked in reply, stifling another snicker as Morro brushed past you with a huff.

LATER THAT DAY

Everyone was gathered in the living room of the monastery. Most of the boys were engrossed in their video games, but Morro sat in a pillow fort he assembled in a corner by himself. He kept his gaze on the Disney movie he was watching on his Borgpad, unaware of the person creeping towards him.

"You like Disney movies too?"

Morro's jaw dropped to the ground as he instinctively shut off his Borgpad. He met your gaze with an irritated frown, mumbling something under his breath you didn't catch. "Shut it, (N/n)." You snorted in reply and said, "Yeah, yeah, I know you love me."

"You know Morro likes the Lorax?" you loudly said. Morro slammed a hand against his knee. "No I don't!" Jay grinned from his spot on the couch. "See? I told you it was a good movie!" He paused before adding, "It's okay to like that stuff, you know." Morro pursed his lips together. "Well, you're Jay." Everyone stifled a few snickers as Jay's jaw unhinged. "So what I'm Jay?"

You nodded in agreement, placing a hand on Morro's shoulder. "He's right. If it makes you feel better, I like having stuffed animals on my bed so I don't feel lonely. Besides that, it's almost dark out. Who wants to go trick-or-treating?"
