The Group

The past couple of months, theres been constant flirting between the two. Constant winks, pick up lines, "accidental" hand touching.
They've also formed a group with a few other people.
(There was Audrey, Aiden, Sonia, Cameron, Alyssa, Alex, Marissa, little Cameron, Loriann, Delaney, Maddy, Sydney, and Ainsley.)
At recess they were all hanging out and being stupid as usual. Then slowly they started noticing something between Parker and Lex.
Audrey whispered to Sonia about it- and of course Sonia being Sonia- she started chanting
"PEX PEX PEX PEX PEX"
the rest of the group turned their attention to Sonia.
"Huh, whats Pex?" asked Aiden confused.
"PARKER AND LEX DONT YOU SHIP THEM" said Audrey.
Lex turned red, along with Parker.
Parker knew he couldn't be openly gay so soon, so did Lex.
But sure as hell was Parker gonna make Pex a thing.
"Guys stop we're just friends." said Lex, which was partially true, because they weren't dating just yet.
"Yeah seriously, I like someone else anyway." said Parker.
Parker had to do something about Pex not becoming an open thing yet.
Lex couldn't believe he let Parker lead him on like that. Lex walked away, he needed to clear his mind.
Marissa pulled Audrey to the side.
"Audrey you can't ship Pex" said Marissa concerned.
"Why?"
"Because.. I kinda like him"
"WHAT YOU LIKE LEX?" whipser-yelled Audrey.
"WHAT OH MY GOD EW NO I MEANT I LIKE PARKER." yelled Marissa a little too loud.
Parker turned around and smiled.
He didn't want to do this, but he had to.
"Marissa, do you wanna go out with me, to a movie or something?"
asked Parker.
Marissa wasnt sure. She stilliked Cameron a bit, but went ahead with it.
"Yes I would" she smiled.
They hugged each other deeply.
Parker forced a smile, while Marissa couldn't fake it for a second.
Lex turned back to walk towards the group. He saw Marissa hugging Parker, then saw Parker look at him. Parker stopped smiling- and sorta frowned.
Lex couldn't hold back the tears. He turned back around and cried.

Lex and Parker were depressed the rest of the day. Lex had to talk to someone about this.
He went up to Sonia during passing period. She of course was with Audrey.
"Hey Sonia, can I talk to you about something?" he asked.
"Oh, sure I guess" Sonia walked towards him.
"Okay, so you know the whole Pex thing?" he whispered.
"ITS REAL?" she exclaimed.
"Shh, and no not exactly. But I'm gonna tell you something and you have to promise not to tell. Okay?" he pleaded.
"Okay sure."
"I... like Parker. A lot."
"HOLY SHIT OH MY GOD YES PEXPEXPE-"
"SHHH" Lex covered her mouth in mid-pex
(ahahah)
"Can you please try to do something about it?" he asked.
"Yes oh my god" she ran back towards Audrey and Aiden.
As they turned the corner Sonia whispered in Audrey's ear
"Lex like legit likes Parker."
Audrey gasped and covered her mouth. She screamed into her hand.
"What did Lex say?" asked Aiden.
"I really cant tell you holy shit"
Audrey said.
"Pleeeeeease" whined Aiden.
"I gotta go so I'm not late, bye" said Sonia walking off.
Then of course, Audrey told Aiden. But she made him promise not to tell.
