The First Hug

Lex and Syndey Grubb (his new girlfriend) went to the basketball game with Audrey, Sonia, Aiden, Alyssa, Ainsley, Delaney and Kenzie (who flew from New York earlier that day.) Parker was playing, so they came to support him.
Lex sat next to Sydney, putting his arm around her. She cuddled into him, thinking he was as straight as can be.
Parker and his team ran out towards the court and started doing warm-ups.
Parker noticed where the group was sitting and waved. A few "yoooo's" and "PTP's" were shouted.
Parker smiled at them all then stopped when he saw Lex and Sydney.
He froze, and got hit in the face with the ball.
"Parker! Sit on the bench!" yelled his coach.
Parker got an icepack and sat out. He tried to stop staring at Lex and Sydney but couldn't.
"Was Sonia lying to me?" he thought out loud.
Sonia looked at Lex then looked at Parker.
She mumbled "Shit" under her breath.
She went over to Lex and Syndey and asked to speak to Lex.
"Uh yeah I guess" he said. He took his arm off of Sydney then went over towards Sonia.
"What. The. Fuck." she whisper yelled.
"What?" he said, confused.
"Lex! What about Parker?" she whisper yelled again.
"Oh, um him? I'm over it."
"Bullshit."
Audrey came over towards the two.
"Lex. What. The. Fuck." she said.
"Okay guys, fine. I'm only dating her to get back at Parker." he said fast.
"What?!" they both screamed in unison.
"Lex that's a horrible idea. Have you not seen any movie ever?" said Audrey.
"I ju-"
"No Lex. You need to dump her right now because Parker li-" Audrey covered Sonia's mouth before she could say anything.
"What?" asked Lex.
Sonia licked Audrey's hand causing Audrey to move it away from her mouth. She rubbed her hand on Sonia's arm.
"Nasty" Audrey mumbled.
"Parker what?" Lex repeated.
"Um," said Sonia.
"Whatever. Lex, Parker likes you, and dumped Marissa for you." said Audrey.
"He- what?" stammered Lex
"He broke up with Marissa. For you."
said Sonia.
Lex looked down to where Parker was sitting. He was already staring at Lex. Parker gave Lex a half smile then turned back around.
"Holy shit" said Lex under his breath.
"Yeah. So what are you gonna do about it?"
Lex just looked down. He had no clue.
"Guys, they're about to start!" yelled Kenzie.
"Okay, well just come talk to us when you figure out okay?"
"Yeah, okay." said Lex walking back towards Sydney.
Lex sat down next to her and stared off in the distance.
"Hey what was that about?" asked Sydney.
"I um, I'm breaking up with you. Sydney you're cool and all, but there's someone else." he said really fast.
"Wh- someone e- WHO?" she screamed.
"I uh, can't say." he stammered.
"WHO IS SHE LEX?" she stood up.
"Shhh, and um, he?" he said.
Sydney froze.
"Wait, he?"
"Yeah."
Sydney sat down.
"So I was a-"
"Beard? Yeah. Sorry." said Lex.
Sydney sat back and sighed.
"Alright, thanks for telling me at least. I hope this works out for you Lex. I really do." She had sympathy in her eyes.
"Thanks. So do I." Lex hugged Sydney.
"Yeah. So, can you say who it is?" she asked.
"Uh.. Parker." he said.
"Wow. Okay, I don't blame you." she said laughing.
Lex laughed too.

Parker couldn't stop staring at Lex and Sydney. He saw them laughing, and talking.
"That should be me. They don't even look couple-y." he mustered under his breath.
But they won their game, barely.
Sonia ran up to Parker and hugged him. Parker hugged her back but had his eyes fixed on Lex.
"Lex, go hug him." said Sydney.
She pushed him towards Parker and Lex fell into his arms.
Parker was confused- but went with it. He hugged Lex back. They sat there hugging for a good minute before Sonia coughed "obvious" and they broke apart.
Lex backed away slowly and mentally noted that hug.
5:32pm December 17th 2014
Parker couldn't stop smiling. But he had to ask Sonia about Sydney and Lex.
Sonia went to the bathroom (because of her bladder of a flea) and Parker followed. Before she went into the restroom, Parker tapped her shoulder.
She turned around
"Oh hey what are you doing?"
she asked.
"Are Lex and Sydney dating? Did you lie to me?" he asked, with a tone of sadness in his voice.
"Well, I didn't lie to you but yes they are last I heard, but he said he was doing it to get ba-"
"Sonia!" screamed someone from down the hall. It was Audrey running towards the two.
"What?" she asked alarmed.
"Lex *breath* and Sydney *breath* done *breath*" she panted. Parker mental noted to never make her run.
"They broke up?" she asked
"Yeah."
"Wow. Well I guess I didn't lie then."
said Sonia to Parker.
"Parker.. when are you gonna do something about this? Just fucking ask him out already." said Audrey.
"You're right. Tomorrow. I'm doing this tomorrow." decided Parker right there.
And he wasn't lying.
