clay smiled as he opened the door, where he was met with the sight of his girlfriend. she was smiling as wide as he was. she set down a bag before running forward into his arms. wrapping her arms around his neck, which proved to be difficult since he was quite a bit taller than her, she kissed his cheek. he turned his head so their lips connected, and she melted into him.
"i missed you." clay mumbled into her shoulder as he closed the door behind them, though they were still hugging. "you could've just come in, the door was unlocked."
"i can tell, and it's more fun to make you have to get up." y/n teased. they finally let go of each other, and she handed him the bag. "present for you, handsome."
"wait, let me go get yours!" he handed the bag back to her, and ran into his room. he walked out with a box. y/n was sitting on the couch, legs crossed, and her hands fiddling with each other. clay sat next to her, facing her. he set the box in her lap, and she gave him the bag back.
