"clay! i'm home!" y/n was met with silence as she locked the door behind her. she set her bag down next to the couch, too tired to care about the fact that she would probably trip on it later.
she paused for a moment, as it was unlike clay to not answer or acknowledge her. he never streamed or recorded at that time either, mainly because he knew y/n would be tired and didn't want to bother her with all the noise. "clay?"
that's when she heard it. from where she was, she couldn't tell what song it was, but it was definitely sad. as she neared the source of the music, she came to find his door closed, which was a rare occurrence. usually his door was open unless he was changing or recording.
y/n raised her hand hesitantly to the door. should she knock? or leave clay to whatever he was going through?
she decided on the former option, knocking three times. the music got slightly quieter, though she could still hear it.
the door opened suddenly, causing y/n's hands to drop to her sides. there was clay, his blond hair a mess. he had deep bags under his eyes, like he hadn't slept in a while.
