3: its just another day

Jeremy POV:

I woke up at about 7:00 am. I was going to wake up my roommate as well because he had class, but something told me not to go into his side of the dorm judging from the unfamiliar clothing near the door. I quickly dismiss the thought and start my day off strong with a nice cup of....wait where's the coffee?

oh right we ran out.

I noted in my phone to buy coffee beans before heading out to the cafè near school to get my fix there. Nothing could run this great day of mine. For today was a day like no other.

Today is April 17th, Danni's birthday.

As I wait in line in the coffee shop, I take out my phone to send my lovely best friend a good morning message.

Jeremy:
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYY BITCHHHH!!!!

Danni:
Lmao thank you Jer

Jeremy:
Are we still on for tonight?

Danni:
ofc, Techno's coming too
lmao i just realized it's kinda sad I only know you two out of the entire university

I turn off my phone in delight and order my coffee

Danni POV:

I click my phone off as I look out the window of the bus. I watch the rain trickle down on the window and I listen to my music. Jeremy is a good friend, he's been like that ever since I first met him. We met in business 101, he told me he changed his minor and had to start fresh. We became friends because he said that my appearance "looks intimidating but can portray myself as a soft kind person, kind of like a 'do not judge a book by its cover' thing."

And yeah, he's somewhat right. I am a bit of a softie.

My demeanor can come off as...intimidating. You can usually find me wearing dark clothing with chains and other accessories. But believe me when I say that I'm not emo or trying to be "edgy for attention". I just like wearing dark clothing with chains. Nothing suspicious about that.

I usually seem calm and non-threatening with my clients when doing consultations for gowns. I want to come off as a normal, nice person who is willing to make dresses for their child. So I wear colored contacts to hide my grey eyes. Don't want them to think I'm a "witch" right?

I also have a soft spot for animals, you can't tell me I'm wrong when I say that puppies are cute right? Like just look at them:

adorable.

I've always wanted a puppy, mainly so I can make clothes for him/her. LIKE IMAGINE A TINY HAT ON ONE OF THESE GOOD BOIS.

I snap out of my thoughts when the bus reaches to a halt. I exit and make my way to class. "It's just another day" I mumble to myself.

Techno POV:

I hear a notification ping from my phone. Two emails from two seperate professors announcing that class has been canceled for the day. I smile, and check the time. 7:38. Danni's bus should be arriving soon. I look down at the box of chocolates and balloon I got for their Birthday.

I come back to my senses when I see their bus arrive. I look around the crowd of people stepping off and automatically call out their name.

"DANNI, DANNI RAYBOURNE."

no answer.

"DAAAAANNNNIIIIII!!!!"

"jesus okay, IM HERE!!" Is what I hear before seeing a 5'7 person squeeze themselves out the crowd before stopping to stare at me with a "wow you really did this" look. They jog up to me and I embrace them with a hug. It's their birthday, a hug is allowed.

We pull away and I hand them their treats. Their eyes widen with glee and they have a giddy grin plastered on their face.

"Aweee thank you techno!!"

"Don't sweat it kid, you're in your 20s now!! so old!!"
I say with a smile. They were not amused. We say our goodbyes and parted ways. Since there was nothing else to do, I decided to go home and just play some skyblock.

Danni POV:

It was now almost 11pm. The day went by really quickly. I decided to wind down and watch some youtube videos. Mainly clip compilations, I clicked on one that I hadn't seen before. Did I miss another stream?

No, it was just a compilation from an old Quackity stream. Quackity is one of my favorite creators, I mean I'm not a hardcore stan or anything. I just really like his content, and his laugh is literal daydream fuel.

My day was amazing, I got chocolates from techno AND a sewing machine from Jeremy. Like he knows much time I spend stitching gowns and he told me I would develop carpal tunnel, which yeah is correct. But I never thought he would actually get me one, I do plan to pay him back though.

Jeremy would never accept money from me, especially if it's to pay back a gift. So I'm just gonna hide it in a drawer at his place so that when he does find it, it'll be "coincidental". I snap back again from my thoughts to the video of Quackity laughing, It's contagious I guess because I started giggling myself.

Man, I wonder what it would be like to meet the guy in person. Must be nice. I imagine meeting him in person, running different scenarios in my head of how it would go. I drown too deep in my thoughts and become drowsy.

its just another day. I think to myself before falling asleep.
