Two days later, Friday, at breakfast, Scorpius' father finally replied to his letter announcing our engagement.

He silently passed me the letter, obviously hurt by Draco's words.

I read it slowly, each line making me hate my future father-in-law more.

Scorpius:

First things first, you shouldn't have slept with a Weasel, but I suppose it's too late for that. But just because she's pregnant doesn't mean you should marry her. Merlin, you're barely 17. I won't allow you to make such a mistake, you can't marry her.

End of discussion.

And if you do, I will disown you.

-Father

"Scorp, don't listen to him. He doesn't understand." I gently touched his arm and he looked at me.

"But-"

"No buts. Ignore him, let him disown you. He's only going to be negative, we don't need him."

He took a deep breath. "I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"I love being able to eat without getting nauseous because of lovey-dovey stuff."

We both looked across the table at Albus, whose mouth was full of food.

"Really, Albus?" I said.

"I'm serious. Get a room, you two."

"How do you think this happened?" I rubbed my small baby bump.

Albus choked, making Scorpius laugh a little.

Scorp wrapped his arm around me. "I mean, we could, if you want."

"NO. Forget I said anything," Albus grumbled.

"Rose Malfoy!"

I turned toward the Gryffindor table behind me, where the rest of my cousins were beckoning me to come over. After a moment I realized what one of them had said and turned back to Albus.

"Did you tell them?"

"No. I swear I didn't."

"Fine."

When I sat down at the Gryffindor table, I was immediately bombarded with questions.

"Did he really propose?"

"When did he do it?"

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"Was it romantice?"

"Enough." I finally said. "Enough. We were in our compartment on the train ride, the same compartment we met in and had our first kiss in, when he got down on one knee. It was really sweet. And I didn't tell you because I wanted my parents to know first, or at least at the same time as all of you."

"You could have told me, I'm your brother." Hugo protested.

"Shush. You would have blabbed and you know it- Ah!" I doubled over in pain.

A chorus of "what's wrong" erupted.

I breathed "Get Scorp" through the pain.

He was there in a moment, helping me up. The he picked me up, carrying me towards the Hospital Wing.

It was all I could do to keep breathing.
