5. The Perfect Plan??

Sunset told Rainbow Dash to meet her at the flower stand at noon. Rainbow knew where this was going to lead, or so she thought. What she didn't know, was what Sunset had planned. Sure, she explained a plan to Rainbow Dash, but it wasn't all of the plan. It was just the plan for Rainbow Dash. Sunset had a plan for Zephyr as well. After she dropped Rainbow dash off at home with Scootaloo yesterday, her new adopted daughter, she went to see Zephyr.

"Hi, is Zephyr Breeze here?" Sunset asked Mr. And Mrs. Shy. They welcomed her into their home and chatted for a bit. "I'm a friend of Rainbow Dash, an wanted to invite Zephyr to hang out with us. Fluttershy told me he would be here." She told them. "Our Zephyr adores Rainbow Dash, we are glad she feels the same." Mrs. Shy stated. "She doesn't exactly have the same feelings, yet. This is why I need Zephyr tomorrow. I want to set them up properly, but getting Rainbow Dash to show how she feels about Zephyr is gonna be pretty tough. Since I can feel that she does like him, I need to force her to let it show." Sunset explained.

"He is upstairs in the first room on the right." Mr. Shy said. Sunset thanked them and headed up the stairs. She arrived at the proper door, and knocked 3 times. She waited for a response. She could hear music that sounded like humming, but the moment she knocked, it stopped. She heard hoofsteps and backed up a little. A greenish stallion opened the door and spoke. "Can I help you?" He said. "You are Zephyr Breeze correct?" Sunset asked, knowing full well that it was. He nodded and again asked how he could help her. "Two words: Rainbow Dash." She said. His face lit up. "I'm all ears. Come on in!" He willingly said.

"So, you want me to pretend to like you instead, to see if she gets jealous?" He asked, trying to comprehend. "Yes! You see, I can tell she likes you back, she just needs to let it show past her brash attitude. Once it does, there's no going back!" Sunset said excitedly. "Anything to get Rainbow Dash to admit her feelings for me. I always knew she loved me." He cooed. Sunset's plan was set......

She waited with him at the flower stand for Rainbow Dash. Once she got there, she's spoke to Sunset. "Okay, I'm here. Let's get this over with." She said. She expected Zephyr to start hugging her and calling her his famous nickname for her, but when she looked up from her saddle bag, she dropped her mouth open in shock. He was buying Sunset some flowers. Marigolds. "Here, they match your beautiful smile." He said to Sunset. Sunset was confused, but flattered. Rainbow Dash was a little ticked by this, but didn't pay it any mind.

"I actually brought a shopping list, so I should get some shopping done while were here." Sunset said. She walked off a little to leave them alone. Rainbow assumed that this was their chance to talk, so she took the opportunity to make Sunset happy. "So, uh, it was nice of you to buy flowers for my friend." She said to Zephyr. "Eh, it made sense. Marigolds do match her well. I like it when she smiles. For just meeting her today, she seems pretty cool." He said. Rainbow Dash couldn't believe what she was hearing! Did he....did he just call SUNSET COOL?! She got even more ticked.

Sunset returned walking over carrying some stuff with her magic and bumped into Zephyr. She fell on him and shook her head. When she realized the state she was in, she blushed. So did he. Rainbow saw this. This made her furious. She enjoyed the attention she got from Zephyr, and she didn't like it when he showed affection for another pony. Especially one of her friends that he JUST met. Sunset and Zephyr noticed the rising anger in Rainbow's eyes, and realized the plan was working. But they would have to do more, if they wanted the true feelings to show.....
