Beautiful Board

I slowly and reluctantly tried to wake up... until I heard the beautiful sound of Luke cooking bacon while humming. I finally sat up and stretched and waddled into the kitchen. "Morning sleeping beauty." Luke teased in his raspy morning voice. "Mmrph" I spoke incoherently because I had Vegemite toast in my mouth. "What was that?" Luke said chuckling at my drowsy state. I swallowed my mouthful of toast. "I said morning loser." I said wiping my eyes kind of waking up as I sipped my ice water Luke had made me. Luke threw some bacon on our plates next to our toast. "Have I ever told you I love you?" I said picking up some bacon. "Not really." Luke teased and I hit his arm. "Butthead." I replied.

After our breakfast I took a quick shower and changed into some clothes I kept at Luke's house. "Much better." I said as I dried my hair before exiting the bathroom. Luke was laying on his bed and I guess he didn't notice me come out because he freaked out when I jumped onto the bed next to him. "HA! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE." I said laughing hysterically. "Oh hush it jerk." Luke said blushing. "Its ok not all of us can be so brave." I said placing my hand on his shoulder in sympathy. he shook my hand off and stood up. "C'mon." he said holing out his right hand for me to grab. "Ooh where are we going? Is it a surprise?" I questioned trying to annoy Luke. He merely shushed me as we exited his house. We grabbed our skateboards and started skating towards town. Luke's grip on my hand tightened every time he accelerated, maybe so I didn't fall... more likely so he didn't fall.

"Wait why are we at the skate shop?" I asked knowing I would want to buy the whole store. "I saw this the other day and thought you would freak out." he said walking in the door his grip on my hand never loosening. "Where is... woah." I said as I looked at the board Luke held up. "It's beautiful." I said wiping a fake tear and trying to snatch the board out of his hand. Luke cleared his throat looking at me and opening his arms. "Fine." I stepped forward and wrapped my arms around his torso. I stepped away and he handed me the beautiful board. "and... I got you this giftcard so you can buy it." He said holding out a small envelope. "You're the best Hemmo." I said smiling. "Wow what was that?" Luke teased cupping his hand by his ear. "Did you Jessica just compliment me?" He chuckled as I hit his arm. "Big whoop." I joked as I headed towards the cash register. "Is this all today?" the guy at the register with black hair with blonde highlights said as I placed the board on the counter along with the gift card. "why yes it is..." I said looking for a name tag of some sort. "The name is Calum." he said flashing a smile. "Calum." I said finishing my sentence from earlier and nodding. "Here ya go." Calum said handing me my new board and the receipt. "Have a nice day..." "Jessica." I finished for him. "You too Calum." I said exiting the shop with Luke trailing behind. "Well you could have warned me you were gonna flirt with the guy." Luke teased. "That wasn't flirting Hemmo. That was introducing myself to the new worker at my favorite shop." I said correcting him. "Hey they're hiring you should get a job." Luke said changing the subject. "Yeah maybe... if I'll get discounts." I said as Luke chuckled. "Well I need to get home. See ya Hemmo." I said giving Luke a quick hug and hopping on my new board and holding my old one. "See ya Jess." I heard Luke say right before I skated off towards my house.

Hi! I wrote this last night so I wouldn't leave y'all hanging after my MRI :) I hope you're liking the story because baby it's just starting.

There will be more development with Cal but you have to wait /).(\

I'm not gonna intro all the boys right away cuz that'd be lame. But I promise they will be here eventually:)
