"Don't be such a silly little boy."

— In which Yoongi experiences the panic of his life at a godforsaken summer camp.

💫💫💫💫

Min Yoongi is straight. He's also pretty short (5'5, to be exact) and has long hair he likes to style (though it's usually in pigtails) that, paired with his soft and somewhat feminine features compared to other boys, often gets him mistaken for a girl, or worse, for a gay person.

Min Yoongi isn't homophobic. He just doesn't hold much with the idea of people thinking he's gay. He also doesn't realize that that's a sign of his internalized homophobia, but then again, what is there to be done about it?

Min Yoongi is an introvert. He likes to stay at home and play video games with rude strangers online because he barely has any friends. He also likes to jack off in peace to hentai like any other fifteen-year-old boy with their own bedroom. Then, one glorious day a little while after school ended turned into the worst day ever when his mother triumphantly announced that she'd signed him up for a summer camp with a bunch of other kids his age.

It's not like he didn't put up a fight. In fact, some people might say he put up a hell of a fight. He tried everything: diplomacy, guilt-tripping, throwing a tantrum, screaming in anger, throwing his things, fake crying, and finally, downright begging. But his mom would not be swayed whatever he said or did, and, like any other fifteen-year-old boy, he absolutely hated that.

So now, here he is, dreading the moment when he has to take that first step up that horrid yellow bus, full of stupid kids and old gum and other nasty stains and... things. The devil's incarnate herself, disguised as his oh so loving mother, stands behind him, practically levitating and glowing with joy that can come from none other than her viciously high level of sadism.

"Now, Yoon-yoon, you behave yourself!"

"Please don't call me tha—"

"If I hear you've given them trouble, you'll be grounded for a month—"

"A month?! But that's almost my entire vacation—"

"Exactly!" Her smile widens as she dusts off his shoulder, and when Yoongi turns to look at her, he swears her teeth have gotten sharper since he last saw them, which was, like, a minute ago.

"Plus, I'll make you do a lot of chores, so you better be a good boy if you want to enjoy this summer."

He sighs. "Alright, alright, fine. Can I go now?"

"Look at you, all excited. I think I'm going to cry." She pulls out a handkerchief from her pocket and dramatically dabs at the corners of her eyes.

"Mom, please don't—"

"I can't believe my little Yoon-yoon's growing up so fast!" She sniffles and blows her nose to make it more authentic, and the kids in the bus have started to watch them from the windows, some of them merely snickering, some of them already laughing their heads off, and Yoongi wants to die right then and there.

"I'm going," he hisses, stomping away from her and not listening to her final shouts of "Bye! I'll miss you! I love you!" and "Have fun!"
