jigyu drabble

"Mingyu!" Mingyu turns his head and was greeted by Wonwoo, his dorm mate before along with his fiancé, Soonyoung all smiles as Mingyu felt a pang in the chest feeling out of place all of a sudden. He smiles back with a small wave as the two arrives in front of him.

"Five years na 'no? Kamusta naman? May nakilala ka ba sa States?" Soonyoung teases as Mingyu looks down playing with the hem of his blazer, "Busy eh." He starts as he heavily sighs, "Puro trabaho doon, madalang na nga lang ako lumabas pero if meron man, wala pa rin ako nakikilala." Mingyu ends as he looks around, "Kayo? kailan pala kasal?" Mingyu asks looking at the ring on Wonwoo's finger, the latter smiles.

"Sa susunod na buwan pa naman kaya may time pa kayo 'no? Aalis ka ba agad? 'Wag muna!" Wonwoo says as he nudges Mingyu at the side. Later on everyone started to get inside the church one by one as he still looks around finding a particular person, he felt sad knowing he will never even find him at this point.

As he enters the church, he sat beside Minghao with his boyfriend, Joshua. He felt so single around here as he just uncomfortably cough and looks at the center of the church because a ceremony will be starting.

Suddenly, a song started to play and Mingyu knew this song so much because this is what his first love kept singing when they were still together back in high school. His first love will never get tired singing this to him until they both hear it in front of the altar hand in hand,

But fate never sided with them.

The doors finally opened as someone enters and Mingyu unconsciously smiles at how beautiful the person is. It is Jihoon, all smiles, walking awkwardly as his ears started to blush because of all the attention he's been getting— Mingyu knows this the most.

He hears the song playing as he sees Jihoon walking down the aisle. Jihoon. His bestfriend, his first love, his ex who he thought he'd be with until the end of the line. Mingyu sees him walking all smiley until he didn't realize he was already tearing up seeing Jihoon holding someone else's hand that was not his, and will never be his.

Everything was a blur, he wasn't paying attention much as his only attention was only focused to Jihoon.

Jihoon. Jihoon. Jihoon.

And the last thing he heard before he snapped out of his thoughts was Jihoon's voice blurting out "I do." in front of the person Mingyu knows that will love Jihoon as long as he can, the thing he can't do for him.

The event ended as Mingyu stands by the side looking at Jihoon and his now husband, Junhui smiling at the camera with their families and friends. Mingyu was about to exit the place as he heard a familiar voice calling out for him, it's Jihoon.

He looks back and see the smile plastered on his face, oh how he missed that smile so much. He wanted to run and tackle him with a hug but he felt like that will make chaos around so he just slowly walks and puts his best smile at the smaller one.

They took pictures side by side and after that, he was supposed to exit again as he felt someone holding his wrist.

"Minggu."

The nickname he wanted to forget.

He looks back and smiles at Jihoon who was already crying in front of him. Mingyu felt his knees weakening as he pulled the smaller one into a hug kissing his crown. Mingyu looks in front as he sees Junhui smiling fondly while nodding to his direction and whispering, "Usap muna kayo, kausapin ko lang yung ibang bisita." He says as Mingyu nods back.

Mingyu lets go of the hug sniffling as he laughs from his idiotic self crying over a married person, "Tangina, sakit pala." Mingyu mumbles but Jihoon heard it, "Thank you." Jihoon whispers at him holding his arm squeezing it, "For what?" Mingyu asks looking down at him with the same look Junhui gave.

"For everything and... sa pagpunta." Jihoon continues as he looks down, "Kala ko kasi—"

"Hindi mo naman kasalanan na makipag-hiwalay eh, kasalanan ko rin na sa sobrang petty ko hindi kita pinansin." Mingyu says, "ayun naunahan na ako" he whispers the last one laughing at himself.

Silence overcomes as they both just stand there side by side not talking, it wasn't awkward at all but it felt like a comfortable ambiance just filling up the air.

"Ji." Mingyu breaks the silence not looking at the smaller one, "Sana hindi ka niya paiyakin. Masaya ka naman na sa piling niya kaya hindi ko na rin ipipilit." Finally, Mingyu looks back at Jihoon with a smile and Jihoon saw the pain in his eyes, "Alam ko naman aalagaan ka ni Junhui hanggang dulo." He says ruffling the smaller one's hair as Jihoon pouted in response,

"Mingyu, salamat ulit." Jihoon softly says, "Salamat kasi minahal mo ako, pero sana wag mo ikukulong sarili mo diyan." Jihoon points out Mingyu's heart earning a chuckle from the taller one, "Sana mahanap mo yung taong para sa'yo." Jihoon finally says.

"Grabe. Ako yung nauna pero siya ang wakas mo," Mingyu says which Jihoon jokingly kicks the back of his legs, "Nakakainis ka alam mo yun?" Jihoon whines at the taller one, "Eto ka nanaman mag dadrama ka nanaman." He adds as Mingyu looks down wiping his tears, "Sorry." He mumbles as Jihoon's expressions softened.

"Minggu ha? Gusto ko sumaya ka na rin, at sorry kasi hindi ko na mababalik nang buo yung pagmamahal mo pero tandaan mo," Jihoon held Mingyu's chin and made the latter look at him, "Hindi ka mawawala dito kasi may special place ka diyan." Jihoon points out on his heart smiling, "Pero ako unang sabihan mo pag nakahanap ka ha?" Jihoon asks as Mingyu nods pouting as his tears finally runs down.

"Laki na natin, napaka-iyakin mo pa rin." Jihoon laughs as he pulled Mingyu into a hug again.

"Can I say this one last time?" Mingyu asks as Jihoon just hummed in response,

"Mahal kita. Mahal na mahal."

Mingyu lastly says as he lets go of the hug smiling at Jihoon, "Sige na, alam ko hahanapin mo na asawa mo." Mingyu slightly pushes Jihoon towards the crowd, "Catch up soon?" Jihoon asks before walking,

"Catch up soon." Mingyu replies back.
