mela visits lee residence

Dahil sa katamaran ni Vernon, he asked you to borrow the carton of milk from the Lee's since you both didn't get groceries yet and your dad is away again probably meeting some clients here in Manila before he goes back at the province. You just sighed and went to look at your glass window to see if yung van na sinakyan kaninang madaling araw nila Chan ay nandun pa. After the scenario kaninang madaling araw, honestly nawalan ka ng gana and thank God wala ka pasok today. You saw that the van is gone so you went to their house.

Dire-diretso kang nag doorbell as the gates automatically opened. You just went in like you would normally do for the past years. As you entered the house, nadaanan mo yung matagal na nilang yaya as she smiled at you, "Good morning manang!" You say as she just nodded and continued cleaning some areas. Good morning kuno tapos halos magtatanghali na pero trip niyo ni Vernon kumain ng cereal.

You saw Seokmin from the glass doors as he was just playing basketball on his own. You just continued walking until you arrived at their kitchen and went straight sa refrigerator. You even saw some snacks so you went to get some, oo, ganito ka sa bahay nila Jihoon, feel at home talaga. You saw the carton of milk sa may dulo ng refrigerator until someone spoke behind you.

"Teka, ayoko muna makipag-argue or whatsover and you are not my mom, so, who are you and why is there a woman other than manang inside the house?" You can feel the annoyance from the voice of someone speaking.

The voice is too familiar so you just bit your lower lip to stop yourself from crying again. You've been crying the whole night honestly and feeling mo nga hanggang ngayon maga pa rin mga mata mo. You got the carton from the refrigerator, closed it and you turned around as you plastered a smile on your face.

It's him. It's Chan.

He looked at you like he's studying your face like what he did yesterday until his eyes grew wider, "Are you following me ba? Ikaw yung kahapon, right? The woman who kept calling for my name?" He says slowly approaching you at umatras ka naman nang kaunti. He was now in front of you looking at you as well as the karton.

Hindi mo na talaga alam ire-reply sa mga sinasabi ni Chan, litong lito ka na and you are really bad with these things. You just stayed quiet all throughout kasi sobrang fragile mo to the point pwede ka nang maiyak any moment. The atmosphere grew awkwardly or ikaw lang nakakaramdam non kasi he was just looking at you as if may iniisip siya,

"You know what you look fa—"

"Hello!!!— Oh? Mela?" Someone's voice who's very loud and lively entered the kitchen, it was Seokmin who's really sweaty from playing as he approached the both of you. You moved at the side so he can get water and you were just standing there awkwardly holding the milk.

Seokmin looked at you after drinking and he looked at Chan as well, pabalik balik lang ang tingin niya while ikaw naka tingin lang sa ilong ni Chan to avoid his gaze.

"Ano? staring contest ba 'to?— Ay by the way," Seokmin puts his water sa side ko as he smiled at Chan, "Mela, si Chan pala pinsan ko, and Chan, si Mela kapitbahay natin." Seokmin says as you inhaled deeply by how awkward you were standing.

Oo, Seok, kilalang kilala ko 'yang pinsan mo. You thought as you just swallowed your saliva from nervousness.

Mela. Chan thoughts as well as he looks back at the milk you are holding as Seokmin noticed it.

"Ah don't worry, lagi 'yang ganyan sina Vernon— Mela's cousin. Remember Jihoon? Close 'yan silang tatlo eh pero Jihoon said may ka-close pa sila before. Sayang 'di mo pa siya nakikita kasi lagi naalis yun agad agad tulog pa mga tao...Teka nga bakit ba ang awkward mo ngayon Mela, 'di ako sanay." Seokmin says as he finally looked at you.

"I... I need to go." you hesitantly say as you walked passed them but before you can fully leave the kitchen someone held your arm, you looked back and see Chan looking at you sincerely, "Hey.. I'm sorry about earlier..." He says scratching his nape shyly, "I didn't know na kilala mo pala sila Seokmin and I didn't know na neighbor ka namin." He says.

You just nodded slowly as you bit your lower lip again and sadly smiled, "It's okay, I really need to go." he hurriedly removed his hand from your arm as you went out of their house.

As you arrived at your house, Vernon was there at the counter already eating some snacks as you just put the milk in front of him. He was just looking at you all throughout as you made way upstairs to lock yourself again, but before you can even get inside you looked at Vernon,

"I'll go sa campus today to finish some tasks for Paskuhan, if hindi mo ako kaya i-drive today it's fine i'll just take a gr—"

"No, i'll drive you today." He says.

Making yourself occupied with works is your stress reliever and that is what you are going to do and you wanted to do right now. Papasok ka kahit minsan sinasabihan ka na ni Vernon na grabe na yung trabaho mo sa school especially you are part of a lot of organizations but he understands you.

You just wanna escape from reality.
