for the last time.6:30 pm, Saturday.
Han looks from outside the window as she sees the rain dripping down from the roof, she sighs as she hits her head softly on the table while groaning. She just wanted her work to be done before monday so that she can have her time for herself for the following days.
She bends down to get her bag at the side and how unlucky she is because she realized that her umbrella is nowhere to be seen, probably she left it at her dorm. She slightly throws her bag again under the table not caring what is inside, she settles herself at her seat as she continued to type on her laptop.
Minutes has passed and she decided to leave the coffee shop after calling her dad to fetch her. Standing from her seat, she heard a familiar voice from the counter and she does not bother to look over to who it was because she clearly knows who it is. From the deep voice it radiates, and to how happy the sound is,
it was a music through her ears.
She hangs her bag on her shoulders as she walks towards the door opening it but someone beats her to it. She looks up at the man who smiled down at her with a glint of happiness from his eyes. Han's stomach churned and she doesn't know why, but apparently, she wanted to hug the man in front of her because it's been months.
"Fancy seeing you here, Han." the man says as they both awkwardly steps out from the shop standing side by side under the roof since the rain isn't stopping.
"Hello, Jeonghan." Han says returning the greeting as she saw a hint of smile from Jeonghan despite looking down. They stood there while the breeze of the air passes by as it sent shivers to Han, no one dared to speak as the droplets of the waters can only be heard.
"How are you? I saw that you have published your first book last month," Jeonghan started as Han can't help but to smile while looking away, "I'm really proud of you, though." he says as another silence enveloped them.
"Thank you, for everything." she says avoiding Jeonghan's gaze, "For what? Not to be that person bringing out this topic but I broke you, Han. Whatever the reason of thanking me makes me guilty from what I did." she hears some ruffling beside her as she peeks and see that Jeonghan was getting something from his bag.
Jeonghan puts out a crumpled paper from his bag as he awkwardly gave it to Han, "Here," he whispers, "I kept that since the day you left it in the library, our contract for that—"
"Fake relationship." she finishes as she got the paper from his hand and Jeonghan immediately rubs the back of his neck, "Didn't know you still kept this, should I be flattered though?" she says dryly as she looks up while glancing by the road.
She hears tapping as she saw from her peripheral view that Jeonghan is still looking at her, fondly— Not that she's assuming but clearly, he does, "Despite that fake relationship, I really am thankful for everything," She suddenly says which made Jeonghan jump in surprise.
"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be stepping in this industry fulfilling my dream," She now turns and looks at Jeonghan with a soft yet sad smile, "I am still in love with you, Jeonghan," she finally says which made Jeonghan gulp.
"Don't worry, I know you still don't want to return the feelings, I just want to say this for the last time." She smiles again as they heard a beeped. They both turned their heads and saw Han's dad peeking his head.
"See you, around." She says before running off and leaving Jeonghan in front of the coffee shop standing and still not believing of what had happened.
She smiles looking out the window while the rain pours as she finally lets out how she was madly in love with her ex-bestfriend. The memories with him were a pure bliss that she wanted to cherish forever.
