The team boarded the plane. Emily sat down in a window seat, and JJ filed in diagonal to them. Reid was directly across from Emily, was reading an extremely long book at a very high speed. Hotch walked briskly out of the bathroom and took his seat across from Rossi in the row across from the younger agents. Morgan, who was on Emily's right, was holding his head in his hand, he looked exhausted.
"Long night?" Emily asked him.
Morgan looked up and nodded, "You know it."
Emily laughed. She turned her head to the left to look in JJ's direction. She had found that she had already been admiring her. Both agents blushed. Emily bit her lip and slightly turned her head back, and the two just looked blissfully into each others eyes for a long minute. It seemed like this eye contact could speak much more than words.
Emily suddenly briefly worried that since they were surrounded by profilers, one of them had noticed. However when she turned her head away from JJ to survey the jet, they all seemed to be preoccupied.
Emily turned in her seat and layed her head against the jet wall. She stared out the window and fell into her thoughts. She still couldn't even imagine that all of this was real, would JJ want a relationship when they got back? Emily wanted that more than anything but she knew she could get to ahead of herself. There was also work to consider, but Emily had trust that they would figure it all out and it would all work out.
The brunette heard Rossi laugh and glanced her eyes into the jet to see him in Rossi engaged in conversation with Hotch. She smiled and looked a little further left to see JJ in a deep sleep. Her smile grew. The sight of JJ made Emily stop thinking about the future and begin to think about her recent past. She imagined being back in thet car in the parking lot, and felt that feeling in her stomach. In Emily's head, the thoughts wandered a little further then they actually happened in the car. Emily suddenly realized what she was thinking and she blushed. Her thoughts went back to soft, replaying the night before in the hotel room. Her head was a hopeless mess, and Emily kind of loved it. She had never felt this way before, about anyone. The blonde across from Emily had beyond a special place in her heart.
The agents eyelids began to grow heavy, and Emily fell asleep for the remainder of the ride.

The team made it back to the office and were warmly welcome by Garcia.
"Hi my friends!" She exclaimed, hurrying iver and pulling JJ into an embrace, "I'm so glad you made it home safe!"
"We missed you too Garcia" Emily said as she patteed the woman on the shoulder and went to put her bags down.
Garcia pulled Reid into a hug, then engaged in a conversation with Morgan. JJ came over to Emily and perched herself near her desk. "Hey," she said softly, almost like she was afraid of being heard.
"Hey," Emily said, "So, what are your plans tonight?"
"I was hoping with you," JJ said. Emily lost her breath for a second, she marveled at the woman perched up against the wall. Who let her look like that.
"Yeah?" Emily asked.
"Yeah," JJ nodded, "If you want of course," she quickly added.
"Of course I do, my place at 5?"
"Sure," JJ said, her face slightly lighting up. Emily saw how genuine she seemed and grinned.
Garcia came over and joined them."How was the city guys?!" She asked.
Emily and JJ exchanges a quick glance. "It was great," JJ said.
Garcia's expression changed. "Oh you two ladies are definitely hiding something," She started excitedly.
JJ pulled her arms behind her body with her hands in her pockets to express that she was innocent. Emily just shrugged.
"Oh I WILL get to the bottom of this."
"Shh Garcia!" Emily whisper exclaimed while she scanned the room.
"So there is something!" Garcia continued, at an only slightly quiter tone, "Did one of you meet a guy?!"
JJ tried to look guilty and Emily looked at her with fake knowing eyes and let out a laugh.
"Oh my goodness JJ!! Is he cute?!" Garcia was so excited for her and it made Emily's stomach turn a little, even though she knew JJ was lying.
"She got a nice southern detectives phone number," Emily bent down and whispered into Garcia's ear.
"Are you going to call him? You have to call him, JJ tell me you're going to call him!" Garcia was really excited for her. Emily wondered for a second if she would have the same excitement if she knew the truth, but she let go of the thought.
"I'll call him Garcia," JJ grinned. Emily hoped she wouldn't call him.
"Ahh my love!!" Garcia said but she was cut off.
"Alright guys, there's no more work to be done, you guys can go home," Hotch said from a couple desks away.
The whole team was happy, but Emily was absolutely thrilled that JJ could come earlier and the two shared a knowing glace, showing Emily that JJ was too.
"Alright my friends, I'm going to get my things, I'll see you guys tomorrow," Garcia started walking away, "And JJ don't forget to call!" she said turning back around.
"I won't!" JJ called back.
It was just JJ ad Emily again. "I suppose we won't have to wait until 5," JJ said in a low tone.
"Nope," Emily started, turing away as she packed her things, "Come over whenever you're ready."
Emily saw JJ smile as she turned to leave. She touched her shoulder and gave her a knowing glance, before running over to try to catch Morgan and Rossi in the elevator.
