Emily awoke in the morning just as the sun began to cross the horizon , a soft gleam of light entered the room. The room had an extremely dim light, but Emily could still see the silhouette of the blonde girl next to her in the bed.

She looked down to see JJ's arm on top of her stomach. Her head was laid gently in the crevice of her neck, it fit perfectly like a puzzle piece. Emily could feel JJ's soft breathing and smiled at the peaceful setting.

Emily lay still for a long time, just watching JJ sleep. She was very content in her position and frankly never wanted to move. However the sun moved up the sky, work grew closer and closer. 

Soon, the loud beeping of Emily's alarm clock sounded, shaking JJ awake. Emily quickly moved to shut it off. JJ stirred in the bed next to her, and began to prop her body up.

"Good morning," Emily said to her.

JJ smiled, "Good morning."

The two got out of a bed with a start and both simultaneously began to get ready. Emily went off to the bathroom to get ready while JJ began getting ready.

JJ soon realized she needed a shirt and called to Emily, "Hey Em, do you have a shirt I can borrow?"

"Take whatever you want from the closet!" she called from the bathroom.

JJ walked over to Emily's closet and took a green v-neck sweater from it. She put it on and replaced her sweatpants with a pair of black jeans.

Emily went to join Emily in the bathroom, and they both looked at each other in the mirror while they brushed their teeth.

The two women were dressed and made their way into the kitchen. Emily popped two pieces of toast into the toaster, and grabbed two banas, she handed one too JJ. They both unpeaked the bananas. Emily stood near the toaster, while JJ walked across the room to grab her purse. She checked to make sure she had everything she needed, and came back to sit at the island, placing the bag next to her.

Soon the toaster dinged, and Emily asked JJ what she wanted on the toast.

"I'll just have butter, please and thank you," she responded.

Emily buttered the pieces of toast and handed one to JJ.

"You should go right after you finish that," Emily started, "You're usually at work before me, I'll go a few minutes after you."

JJ had food in her mouth so she nodded in agreement. As the two finished their quick breakfast, Emily came over to hug JJ goodbye, even though they would see each other in ten minutes.

"I'll see you soon," JJ said into her ear. She handed Emily her bana peel, and picked up her purse. She Stood in the threshold as she smiled at Emily, before closing the door behind her.

As JJ left, Emily felt an unexplainable feeling, almost as if she were coming down from a high, but not quite. She couldn't point out exactly what the feeling was, but she knew what it meant, JJ had her heart.

Sergio jumped up onto the countertop and Emily stroked his soft fur.

"I'm in trouble this time buddy."

She jumped up and joined Sergio onto the counter, lost in the thought of JJ's blonde hair, and her soft smile.

Suddenly Emily remembered that she had to get to work. She grabbed her stuff, and began to head out of her apartment.

JJ watched Emily walk through the glass doors into the office. She pretended not to see her for a  moment, but the truth was it was almost like JJ could feel Emily's presence. Emily walked over near her desk, and JJ finally looked up.

"Good morning," she said for the second time this morning.

JJ repressed a laugh, and responded with just a tiny smile playing on her face. "Good Morning."

"Would you like a coffee?" Emily asked.

"Yes please," JJ responded, just like every other morning, except this morning wasn't the same. Both of the women knew it, and to JJ, that was all that mattered.

Emily went over to make the coffee's and JJ subtly watched her the whole time. Emiily came back over and placed the coffee onto JJ's desk.

JJ picked the coffee up and stirred it with the stick in the cup. "Thank you," she said.

Emily winked and turned to walk over to her desk. It was insane how much that woman drove JJ crazy. JJ watched her sit down and begin to do her paperwork, which reminded JJ that she still had work of her own to do.

JJ looked down at her work and began to chip away at it. She spent most of her morning doing paperwork and stealing glances of Emily.

JJ was approaching the end of her stack just as lunch break began.

The team gathered more lunch, and Reid began talking about a sci-fi movie in Russian that he was going to watch this weekend with Emily and her, who participated in the conversation for him, but they were both quite lost. Hotch and Rossi sat on the other side of the table, having an inaudible conversation.

Garcia and Morgan approached the room, flirting, like always. They took their seats like the rest of them. JJ loved lunch, when they all sat together, it brought her great joy.

"So pretty boy, what are the plans for the weekend?" Morgan asked.

Reid began to talk about the movie again, and JJ decided she didn't need to hear the conversation again and turned to the rest of the table.

"JJ, do you and Em wanna go shopping this weekend?" She asked in her usual perky tone.

"I'd love to," JJ responded with a smile, Emily agreed happily.

"I really need a new pair of boots," Emily said.

"Oh, me too! Garcia exclaimed ang began talking about the pair of shoes she had her eye on.

"Yayy, I'm excited," Jj said.

"Me too, girls afternoon!!" Garcia said happily.

Work was difficult at times, but in moments like these JJ was so happy in her little family. In this moment, JJ was so happy with her life and the people in it. Even if parts were a small secret.
