Not in the Mood

When I returned to base, I went straight to the meeting room, where Claire, Veronica, Llyod, and Raveness sat around the table, labeling the map. The room was lit up. Claire looked up.

"Did you two get the supplies? Where is April is she outside putting the stuff away?" the rest of them looked up from the map and stared at me for an answer.

"Um mm No we did not get the supplies. Sorry." I didn't really want to talk about what had happened. I wasn't in the mood.

"Oh well then, where is April?" I got choked up and couldn't even breath right. I had killed one of the greatest people I knew,"Jordan, answer me. Did the Red Coats kill her?" Claire couldn't even say the last two words.

"No." I struggled to get the words out,"I-I did." Raveness started getting red. Her hands formed fists, her eyes flared. She got up and ran towards me and pinned me to the wall, her hands holding me in place. Her face was real close to me and I could feel her breathing hard.

"You did what now?! You bastard! She was like a sister to me and now you killed the only person that I really cared about! I will fucken beat the hell outta you! and you will wish that you never came here!" she swore, her voice booming in the room. She was real furious.

Lloyd hurried and calmly took her away. She fought to get to me, but Lloyd had her good. Claire came over and blocked her from me.

Raveness turned and pushed Lloyd down, then she came at me, her hands clawing the air. Claire held her back and called the guards. Four guards came and took her away.

"I will get you Jordan! I will!" she screamed. Claire helped Llyod up and helped him towards the table. He was rubbing his left shoulder. Holding my arm, I walked to the table, sitting next to Lloyd, Veronica across.

Claire walked back and forth, trying to calm herself. Finally, she set her arms on the table and stared at me.

"How the hell did this happen? Jordan, tell me everything and why you did it."she spoke calmly, even though her eyes read I hate you. I explained everything and that if she would have killed me, they would have found base and destroy the area.

"I also found out that they're manipulating the people, if they resist on being on their side, and putting stuff in they're system, making them think that we are the bad guys and to obey them."

"So, people are now being forced on their decision. What is this world coming to?" what was happening to this world?

"What are we going to do?" Veronica asks.

"For now, we should rest, it was a long, terrible day. We'll plan April's funeral. Lloyd, for awhile, you'll have a roommate. Until tomorrow." Veronica follows Claire out the room.

Lloyd gets up,"Come roommate." and he leads me out the door. We go through many halls and pass many resistances. Finally, we go into a small room, where theres a huge mess. He suggested if I wanted my old clothes, but they reminded me too much of April.

"Um mm Raveness usually sleeps in that room, since she's in the mental hospital, for almost killing you, you can sleep there." he points to a room, down the hall. He looks at my face and figures that I don't wanna sleep in a females room. You never know what these two do alone,"If it makes you uncomfortable, I can sleep there and you can sleep in my room?"

So, that's what we did. His bed was comfy and warm. I had taken my shirt off and was sleeping with the shorts, he had given me. I instantly fell asleep....
