A Great War

                     Jordan's P.O.V

I stare as Raveness falls to the ground. Claire had just killed Raveness. I stare in shock and disbelief. I didn't know what we were coming to. Claire looks up at me and smiles.

She comes towards me and tells me something, but I don't understand because I was replaying what just happened.

"Jordan. Don't worry she isn't dead. She's just going to be out cold for a day or two. Long enough for her not to kill you. Now we better get to the clock tower before night fall." why the clock tower? I wanted to ask, but she pulled me towards the tower.

Once in the tower, She led me up. This was the place we met and when she talked about the resistences and Red Coats. I can't believe it was just two weeks ago. Now, this was probably gonna be the place where it all ends.

We climb up, going through wires, broken wood, and finally, when we made it up. I could see the full moon from where I was and it was shining on the battle scenes. When I looked at the moon again, I could've sworn that it looked bloody red.

It was dark in there, and then I reliezed that the clock was silent, it wasn't ticking. Claire stood beside me,"Every full moon it's when the jewel is at it's powerfullest. That's why they call it the Red Jewel. That jewel is an actual piece from, I guess the mother moon. Which is light years away from earth. That's why the when it's a full moon, it's red because the mother moon is missing a piece."

I take the jewel out and stare at it. It was glowing bright red, just like the moon.

"You are going to have to destroy it. If you don't then it can get in the wrong hands or worse. When the moon is at it's highest point, we have to let it go from up here." I noticed that the moon was almost there, so we only had 30 minutes.

We waited, then I heard footsteps approaching. Just one pair so this person was alone. Me and Claire turned and saw a dark shadow coming our way. When it hit the light, I realized that it was a middle aged man.

He had gray hair, but still looked pretty young. His green eyes stared at the jewel and I remember this guy. He was the one that had put that stuff into April's system, He was the general of Red Coats and I knew what he wanted.

"Jordan, long time no see. You know I never even wanted that girl and either way, I was going to kill her, but you saved me the trouble. I appreciate it, now give me the jewel." he held out his hand, waiting for me to give it to him. I stash it in my robe and take out my sword,"Well I see then. Winner gets the jewel." he smiles and takes out a 5 foot long sword. I could  tell that it was double bladed.

We readyed our stances and came at each other. Claire backed away and disappeared into the darkness. She left me fighting this dude.

"Now, now. you wouldn't hurt an old guy, would you?" he teases as he swings his sword at me. Luckily I dodge, but the next move, he doesn't miss. He aimed at my face and peeled my skin off. My face stated bleeding and i scream in pain. I swing my sword at him and get his left arm.

"Your very talented you know. Why not join us?" he grunts as I hit him in the stomach with my sword.  He stumbles, but remains in his feet and throw his dagger at me. It passes my face and almost gets me. I glance back and notice that I've wasted 15 minutes. I only have 10 minutes left.

"I'll never join you. Never." I swing my sword at him and then throw blades, but he misses all of them.

I was starting to get tired and worn out. Where was Claire?

The General runs at me, but I side step to the side and he falls to the ground. When he gets up, his face was all bloody and scraped.

"Jordan, why are you doing this? Won't you get on my side or do you hate your father." My father? He's my father?

I stay there, frozen and unable to even cooperate. My sword falls to the ground as I stare at this man that says is my father. Without even noticing he comes at me. Out of nowhere, Claire comes and tackles him.

"Jordan! Throw the jewel out we only have 3 minutes and counting! Jordan!" she pins my father down and waits for me to throw it out, but I stay there.

"Jordan!" she screams and i get out of the trance. I slowly get the jewel out and walk towards the window. My father strangles to get free and when I threw the jewel out, he escaped and came at me.

Everything seemed to be moving slow. My father running twards me, the jewle falling, and me turning around. I had no time to get out of the way. My father pushed me down and we both fell out of the tower. I heard Claire yelling my name then I hear the jewel, breaking into pieces.

My father on me, and us falling to our death. Then, everything went fast, as if someone turned the slow motion off. We were both screaming and then, I was surrounded by brightness......
