"London?"

"Yup," I answered. Trevor was sprawled out on my bedroom floor tossing a soccer ball up and down. Uncle Josh and Dad was downstairs playing some old Fifa12.

"That's pretty sick. Wish I could go."

"I think you are."

"What," Trevor stopped tossing the ball and sat up to look at me in disbelief.

"Well they're going to need their drummer again, no?"

I looked at him as if it was obvious. He recollected himself from his phase of confusion, "Have you been talking to the others?"

"Last person I talked to was Anna and that was two weeks ago. You?"

"I talk to Eli. I've talked to Jake last month."

"Mmm, Do you think things changed? Over there I mean", I stepped off my bed and laid my head on Trevor's lap as he sat crisscross while leaning back onto my bed.

"Probably. Max told me Sarah got hot."

I slapped his shoulder and we both laughed, "What?"

"Don't say that! It's weird," I told him.

"I remember you telling me in year 6 that you thought Eli was cute. So, Ms.Hypocrite what do you have to say to that."

"That was what? 5 years ago? I was going through womanly changes! You can't blame science Trev!"

We both busted out laughing at our young selves. I always enjoyed small talk with Trevor. He was always natural and honest, he never lied or beat around the bush when it came to serious things. I guess you can say he was an older brother to me. We've known each other our whole life and practically grew up together. When I moved to America it was tough to not be with your best friend. That was until four years later Trevor and Uncle Josh moved to California, after Trev finished primary school in London. The other guys and I were close too, but not as close and Trevor and I.

There was a knock on the door before Uncle Josh walked in, "Trev let's go. You guys have rehearsal tomorrow morning."

We both groaned in unison at the ratchet thought of getting up early. Uncle J chuckled, "Hey I'm not the ones graduating! Been there, done that. 5 minutes Trev."

Trevor nodded as I motioned for Uncle Josh to come into the room and help me off the floor. Once standing I hugged him and said, "Bye uncle who goes out with my dad to gets tattoos and not me."

He laughed again and hugged me, "Your dad wanted to go, not me. Ill see you tomorrow Rachel."

With that he left an I was back to laying on the floor with my head on Trevor's lap.

"It's not fair that our dads get all of these tattoos and we don't. I mean YOU got one, but why won't he let me? I find that absurd", I said with continuous hand motions. Trev has the word fighter across the top of his wrist. it was for his grandma that he was close to. She died of cancer last year; it was unexpected too since the doctors said she was getting better. But her age caught up with her, which just made everything turn upside down. He's become a bit more timid about things, which is odd because he's usually the one to persuade me into going on crazy adventures.

Trevor chuckled and started to braid random strands of my hair, "I don't know. Maybe it's because you're a girl?"

"What does that mean?", my eyes shot upward at him.

"Your dad is more protective of you."

"But that's unfair! That's plain out sexist!"

"He just cares about you a lot, Rach"
