It was a bright and beautiful day in the Fire Kingdom, the sun was shining, birds were chirping, trees were swaying, and everyone was either laughing, talking, or drinking. It was a wonderful day.
Up in the castle was prince Natsu who was putting on his royal clothing. As he was buttoning up his collar shirt, he remembered what his mother and father wanted to talk to him about the other night.........
Flashback Natsu walked to the library where he knew his mother and father would be. He entered the library and saw his father reading a book while drinking coffee and his mother by a shelf looking for a book to read. He cleared his throat making them turn their heads to look at him "ah son glad you came" his father, Igneel, said smiling.
Natsu nodded "why did you call me here father" Natsu asked. Igneel put his coffee down and stood up "well son, I called you to let you know that tomorrow we will be hosting a ball here in the castle. Kings and Queens from all over will be attending, including your fiancé and her family" Igneel stated.
Natsu cringed at his father saying fiancé "yes father, and speaking of my fiancé" Natsu said making Igneel raise an eyebrow "are you sure I have to marry her" Natsu asked not wanting anything to do with lisanna, especially marry her "what do you mean honey, is something wrong with lisanna" his mother, Scarlet, asked walking over to Igneel's side.
Natsu looked at his parents dead in the eyes "I don't love her for one, she's just a brat who thinks she's better than everyone, and then wants to act all innocent like she didn't do or say anything wrong" Natsu states not holding back the venom in his voice "well son I understand what you mean, I necessarily don't like lisanna myself, but unless you find another princess you want to marry, you will be engaged to lisanna sadly" Igneel states looking at his son.
Natsu sighed "I'm so sorry honey, I wish things were different" Scarlet said with apologetic eyes. Natsu huffed "it's fine mother, you did nothing wrong. I'll be heading back to my room now" Natsu said as he headed out the library and back to his room. End of Flashback

Natsu then got up and headed out of his room and started to walk towards the dining area. As he was walking towards his destination, he saw all the maids and butlers preparing for the ball that was happening tonight. He saw how they were making sure everything was spotless and in the right place. They all greeted him as he passed by, but he ignored them and kept walking towards the dining area.
When Natsu reached the dining area he saw that his mother, father, and brother were already seated and eating. They noticed him and smiled "good morning to you brother come, sit, you have to have have enough energy for training" his brother, Zeref, said smiling as he motioned Natsu to sit next to him.
