The Diamond

"Step right up! The auction is about to begin! Out item is a diamond worth 3 million jennies! All you have to do is arm wrestle! The diamond will be sold to the first person who beats this young man!" Leorio yells gesturing to Gon who sits at a small table"the price is 10,000! Now let's begin!" I currently stood next to Killua who was holding the diamond in it's velvet box. Quickly people began to yell about how they wanted to take a try.

A man came up,clearly confident in himself. However,he lost to Gon. "Sorry,you lose! Next!" Leorio yells. This continues on for hours,someone walks up being confident and cocky just to be beaten and they get upset about it. I let out a yawn as I leaned against the wall"I'm bored." I comment"then leave." Killua says"no...I don't wanna. I'd prefer to annoy you." He sighs"just like a little sister." I stick my tongue out at him and he return the favor.

Then a girl with short black hair comes up. She had pale skin and glasses framed her face,lastly she wore a black sweater with some jeans and to complete the outfit a upside down cross.

"The first female challenger!"

"You go girl!"

"Monster kid,take it easy!"(:00 ;-; now I wanna play undertale)

She takes a seat and bows to Gon"nice to meet you." Gon seemed taken back by her gesture"ahh m-me to!" Leorio then demands the 'fight' to start once their hands link. "Killua,this girl...she doesn't seem normal." I point out"really?" He looks over at me"how come?" I noticed Gon's hand starting to shake,it seemed like that girl was almost going to win!

Killua's eyes widened"ah,I see." Eventually Gon was able to beat the girl"ah! Sorry! You lose!" The crowd began to congratulate her on her try,she then thanked Gon and walked off. This was when we headed over to Gon"that girl isn't normal." I whisper"you were using all your power,right?" Gon nods.

My eyes followed her to behind the crowd. "I kinda wanna follow them..."I trail off watching them walk away.

The arm wrestling matches went on for a few days. We currently had 8 million. "We gotta realize that 9 billion is a hard number to reach." Leorio says setting down the counter stack of cash. "I'm not sure arm wrestling was the honest way to go..."Gon trails off"plus,on the second round it was just people wanting revenge on Gon." Gon glances at Killua"and if the rumor spreads,nobody will want to come around." Leorio smirks"don't worry. The more people who talk about it,the more people we'll gain. All of this was just bait after all."

Small time skip

Leorio greeted the small crowd that would soon turn into chaos as the hours went by. The people seemed cocky as they commented on Gon's appearance not actually knowing how strong he really was. Leorio smiled lightly knowing that his plan was working. That's when a tall buff guy made his way to the front"excuse me!" He says shoving past the crowd"I'm trying." He states handing Leorio the money and loosening his tie so he can take off the coat and vest.

He sits down across from Gon,the boy ends up jumping due to him being a little scared. "Hm? How are we going to hold fists?" Leorio then speaks up"Gon,we're switching." Gon hesitates for a moment before standing up and joking Killua and I. "I'll give you 5 million plus the diamond,if you win against me." The man smirked a little as Leorio sat down and cleared the table a little to give them some space.

"Alright!" I speak up standing in the middle"I want a clean fight!" I demand"so,on the count of three,you're ready to go! One...two...three!" I declare stepping back as Killua smiles at me"hm?" I hum"n-nothing." He blushes looking away as Leorio smacks the man's arm down,this makes Leorio the winner. Leorio stands up once done and looks at the crowd"whose next?...the earnings have increased,we can't just stop here." Another man speaks up with a sigh"I like you man." He states writing something down on piece of paper. "The three behind me are much stronger than I am." The man seemed taken back by how Leorio mentioned me,I was even surprised by his mention.

"If you've got some free time,please stop by at 5pm." He says handing Leorio the paper and they collect their items and walk off.
