Hereford Base

Hendrick POV

You were in R&D working on ways to make your Lancer have a syringe attachment instead of a chainsaw. You were working on the wiring for the separate attachment when you accidently put two of the wires were together. This caused you to shock yourself.

Hendrick: Son of bitch.

Thermite: Hey try not to create anymore sparks, the shit I'm working with is highly flammable.

Hendrick: Yea yea I'll try, I'm running on zero sleep.

Thermite: Here let me do it.

Hendrick: No no its fine, I got it.

You attempted to connect the wires towards the attachment. You grabbed the soldering iron and clumsily moved the red wire and it touched the blue wire. The sparks flew and started to go over to the crate of gunpowder that Thermite had.

In the halls

Ela POV

You were walking down the hall with your Grzmot mines. Hoping to fix the programming on them so they stop detonating when operators are outside of reach, causing them to not become disoriented. You were about to open the door until you heard what sounded like Hendrick scream.

Hendrick: Shit!

An explosion went off and the doors flew open. Hendrick and Jordan both came out coughing.

Thermite: *coughing* Next time you're tired, let me connect the wires.

Hendrick: *coughing* Ah fuck!

Mira: What happened!

Hendrick: Yea you see um... so sparks and gunpowder go boom.

Ela: I thought a soldier from another time would know that.

Hendrick: Hey I was just given a rifle and just told "shoot these grub bastards".

Thermite: Next time get some sleep.

Ela: You ran off of no sleep?

Hendrick: I needed to do some stuff and they were more important.

Ela: Well now you have to explain to a pissed off Elena why her department is in flames right now.

Hendrick POV

You looked over from Ela and saw a tiny Spanish woman looking at you in rage.

Mira: tu estupida puta

Hendrick: Hey, no need for the language.

Mira: You blew up my department.

Hendrick: And I'll fix it.

Mira: With what skill.

Hendrick: I don't fucking know, but it'll be fixed. I'm used to having to make things like defenses in short periods of time.

Mira: *sighs* OK, I'll let you fix it, but it needs to look nice, not those post apocalyptic defenses you described yesterday.

Hendrick: It won't.

Mira: Good, now get started.

She walked away and you looked back at the R&D workshop and sighed.

Hendrick: This is gonna be a long day.

Timeskip 4 hours

You were working on cleaning a bench. You looked around and most of the damage was small and easily fixed but burn marks still remained throughout the entire workshop.
