Nini's POV
I would not be telling the truth if I said that I am not nervous about going home. The last time I was home it the time that I was a Sophomore in college and it was the last time I saw Ricky.
"Flight 287 New York City to Salt Lake City Utah takes off in 30 minutes." The announcer said and I got up and walked to my gate.
"Plane ticket?" The person asked for and I showed them my ticket. Yeah I was in the plane going home and it felt weird for sure.
4 hours later
"Nina Salazar Roberts!" Gina yelled out,
"Gi! How are you?" I asked her as I hug her,
"i'm so good but I was excited when your mom's told me that you were coming home." Gina said,
"wait you talk to my moms?" I said as we walked out of the airport,
"of course all of the time!" She said,
"how is EJ?" I asked her,
"really good! Um he proposed a week ago!" She said,
"Gina that is such good news!" I said as we jump into the car "let me see!" She showed me her ring "that is gorgeous!"
"Um what is this?" Gina asked me as she held up my ring finger,
"Brayden proposed to me like 3 weeks ago!" I said,
"and I am just now hearing about this. Also where is he?" Gina asked,
"he went to his parents for the holidays. He really pushed me to come here for the holidays." I said,
"you look so happy Nini. And you as Veronica in Heathers that was epic." She said,
"so how bad is it?" I asked her,
"it's not pretty! Your moms have tried everything to help with the festival but it's not going well! Mike is thinking about backing out." Gina said,
"Mike is not backing out of being Santa this year!" I tell her and we both laughed.
"Ok so we are having dinner tomorrow! It has been ages since everyone was in Salt Lake!" Gina said,
"well not everyone is going to be here." I said and she looked at me like I have three heads.
"What do you mean? Seb, Carlos, Kourtney, Big Red, Ashlyn, EJ and Ricky." Gina said,
"not Ricky!" I said,
"Ricky has a flight tomorrow." Gina said,
"Ricky is not coming!" I tell her,
"no he is coming. Shit I was not suppose to tell you that," Gina said.
"Fantastic!" I said as we drove to the center of town. "Wow! When you mean it was falling apart you would not joking Mom!" I said as I hug her,
"it's a hot mess of red and green!" Momma C said as she hugs me,
"I may not be Santa this year!" Mike as he walked up,
"no you are Santa!" I said to him,
"what's up kiddo?" He asked as he hugged me,
"nothing you?" I asked him,
"nothing just spending Christmas with Jenn!" He said,
"and with Ricky!" I said and everyone looked at me,
"how do you know?" Momma C asked,
"I spilt the beans!" Gina said,
"come on babe!" EJ said as he walked over and he hugged me.
Next Day Ricky's POV
Ok I am going to say I am scared! I have not been home since me and Nini broke up. That was sophomore year of college and I am happy that she is not going to be there. When I landed my dad was there to pick me up.
"Hey bud!" My dad as he hugged me,
"hey! How are you?" I said and my dad grabbed my bag and we walked to his car.
"Good! You? How is my musician of a son?" My dad asked,
"I'm good!" I tell him,
"I heard that your album is number one is the country!" He said,
"it is! How bad is this festival?" I asked him,
"bad! Carol's exactly words are it is a hot mess of red and green in the middle of town." He said,
"that sounds like Carol!" I said and we both laughed,
"so you guys are hanging out tonight right?" He asked me,
"yes we are." I said and we got home,
"Ricky how are you?" Jenn asked,
"good!" I tell her as I hug her,
"that's good!" She said and we walked into the house.
Later that night
"Hey there is Ricky Bowen!" Big Red yelled,
"hey bro!" I said as we hug,
"there is the guy who stole my girlfriend!" EJ joked,
"and I lost that girl!" I retorted back,
"the girl who is here!" Red said and EJ looked at him,
"what does that mean?" I asked them,
"ohh looked there is our table!" EJ said and I looked at the table and a I saw someone that I have not seen in five years.
"Why the hell is Nini here?" I asks EJ,
"ohh what she is here. I did not know that," EJ said and he walked away. I walked over to the table,
"Ricky Bowen is here!" Gina said and he hugged me,
"Hey!" I said back,
"hi Ricky" Nini said.
"hey!" I said,
"so i'm going to get some drinks!" Gina said,
"I am going to help!" Kourtney and Ashlyn said,
"we are going to the bathroom!" EJ and Big Red said and everyone left.
"So we were set up!" I said to Nini,
"oh 100%!" Nini as she took a sip of her wine and we both laughed.
