Christmas in Salt Lake!

Kick off!

Ricky's POV
As we were driving to the center of town the things that Brayden said really got to me. My parents did stop loving each other and now they kind of get along. Now they are both happily married! Why did Nini fall in love with someone like that?
"You good Rick?" Nini asked me,
"yeah!" I said as I parked my car but Nini knows me too well.
"Rick I know you too well," Nini said as she stop me from getting out of the car.
"Nini you don't know me any more! Let's face it I am that stop that 17 year old boy who is broken and afraid of commitment! We broke up twice because of it," I said.
"Ricky you are not broken and yeah we broke up only one time of that but not even. We broke up because your parents didn't even said it and I know that now." Nini said and I realized that I lost a good one to a asshole. "Also he is only like that when he is hiding something."
"What is it?" I asked,
"I don't know but that is not the main priority. This big mess is," Nini said and we laughed,
"yeah it is!" I said and we both get out of the car and went our to see the progress.
"What is going on?" I asked all the workers,
"well the tree is all set but..." the guy said.
"But what?" Nini asked,
"the lights may or may not work!" The guys said,
"what?" I said in disbelief,
"we have not tried it but we can right now." The guy said,
"let's hope this works or not we are screwed!" Nini said and they flipped the switch and the lights went on.
"Think the lord that just worked!" I said and we went on and did other things. But I kept on looking over to Nini and just smiling. When everyone got here we started when the mayor step on the stage.
"Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hoped that everyone had a fun and festival day! I sure at least or maybe I was just hungry! This year's festival was kind of a messed and I am not going to sugar coat it but we were extremely great full for two people returning home. So the time is here for the tree to be lit and the kick off to Christmas begins!" The mayor said and he flipped the switch and everyone became really happy. Right there in that moment I felt lonely and I felt my life was empty. So I went home and went to be.
Nini's POV
After the tree lit I realized I lost track of Ricky. I started to look around and Brayden saw me.
"You ready to go Babe?" He asked,
"yeah! How you seen Ricky?" I asked him,
"no and he does not matter." He said and I got pissed and we drove home. I was definitely distracted, "you good?"
"Yeah I just am kind of worried about Ricky with everything that has happened tonight." I said,
"or so this is my fault now." He said,
"you really gonna do this now?" I said,
"I really don't wanna." He said as he got out the car,
"no let's do this right now!" I said as I got out of the car,
"you only care about yourself and this crap of a town!" He said,
"this crap of a town is my home." I said,
"just admit it!" He yelled,
"admit what?" I asked,
"that this town holds you back!" He says,
"how does this town hold me back?" I asked,
"we are not doing this right!" He said,
"no we are! I'm confused," I said.
"you have no talent!" He said,
"really?" I asked,
"and that boy? He has no clue who you are!" He said,
"he does too but I don't think you do!" I said to him "what are you hiding?"
"What do you mean?" He asked me,
"you act like this when you are hiding something!" I said,
"no I don't!" He said,
"yes you do!" I said,
"fine if I say that I am hiding something which I'm not will you admit that you love him?" He asked,
"love who?" I asked,
"Ricky!" He said and I was beyond pissed,
"I don't love him! He is my best friend since we were 5. And yes we dated but we broke up but that was years ago." I said,
"wow! You are so stubborn," he said.
"I think you need to go now!" I said,
"yeah to bed!" He said,
"no I mean back to New York! And I think we need a pause," I tell him.
"If that is what you want than you have it!" He said as he walked inside the house and for some odd reason I barely cried. Is this relationship over? When I went inside Brayden was already packed and leaving. So I went upstairs and went to bed. This morning I was ecstatic that he surprised me but now I'm just pissed at him.
