Christmas in Salt Lake!

Thanksgiving

Ricky's POV
I woke up and I smell something and I jumped out of bed. I rushed down the stairs,
"Dad! Are you trying to cook? You know how that went!" I said to him,
"I know kiddo but it's Thanksgiving!" He said,
"what?" I asked and I looked at my phone and it was Thanksgiving. "Dang I guessed it slipped my mind!" And than I realized my song comes out on the 1st and that is in a couple of days.
"So we are going over the Salrobs at 2!" My dad said and I went and ate breakfast. After breakfast I jumped into the shower and got ready. When I was done it was 1:30 and we were leaving. When we got
there Nini was coming down the stairs and she looked beautiful but someone was behind her.
Nini's POV
When I woke up my moms were talking to someone at the door. So I got up and went downstairs and the person who were talking to my moms surprised me.
"Brayden?" I said in shocked,
"Nina!" He said in a excited tone and he came up and hugged me.
"We had no idea that he was coming! We did you not tell us?" Momma D asked,
"I had no idea as well!" I said and my moms left, "what are you doing here?" I asked him,
"I wanted to surprise you and see where you grew up!" He said,
"well you should of given me the heads up." I said ,
"then it would not be called a surprise darling!" He said and I almost threw up at darling.
"Guys it's time for breakfast!" Momma C called,
"we will be right there!" I said and we went and sat down and a couple of minutes into breakfast my mom spoke.
"The Bowens are coming around 2!" She said,
"who are the Bowen's?" Brayden asked,
"Ricky, his dad and his Jenn!" I said not so sure what to call her.
"His Jenn?" Brayden asked,
"Jenn was my old theater teacher who married Ricky's dad." I explained to him and after breakfast I showered and got dressed. Around 2 the door cell ringed and we both went down stairs.
"Hey guys!" I said,
"hey kiddo!" Mike said and hugged me,
"this is Brayden my Fiancé and this is Mike, Jenn and Ricky." I said,
"It nice to meet you! The teacher, the father figure and the ex." He said and I looked at him in disgust,
"or family friends!" I said,
"whatever. I'm going to go see if your moms need help." He said and he went into the kitchen and Jenn and Mike followed him.
"Well he is such a fun person," Ricky joked and we both laughed. "I had no idea that he was coming,"
"yeah he kind of showed on our doorstep this morning. So we were both in the dark," I said.
"Drink?" Ricky asked,
"should I be the one to ask you that?" I asked,
"yeah!" And we both laughed.
Later that night at the dinner table Jenn started to talk.
"So Ricky and Nini how do the festival coming along?" She asked,
"it's coming along!" I said,
"slowly!" He added on,
"so Ricky! Nina tells me that your parents divorced around junior year!" He said and the table went silent,
"do you have to bring this up right now?" I asked him,
"it's fine Neens! Yeah they did," Ricky said.
"it must of sucked?" He said,
"yeah it did for sure!" Ricky said,
"well I would not know because my parents have loved each other-" Brayden was about to say,
"don't you dare finish that sentence!" I said,
"well I'm curious!" Brayden said,
"and it's a sore subject so stop talking." I said to him and the rest of the dinner was quiet. It was extreme awkward! After two hours and desert everything was fine.
"Well Carol, Dana dinner was amazing as always! Brayden it was interesting to meet you but Nini and I should get going!" Ricky said,
"where exactly is that?" Brayden asked,
"we gonna go and make sure everything is good before the lighting of the Christmas tree." I said as I put my coat on,
"do you guys need help?" Mike asked,
"no we should be fine!" Ricky said,
"we basically know this by now!" I said and we walked out of my house and got into the car.
"I'm sorry about Brayden!" I said,
"it's fine!" He said abruptly and I know him pretty well and he was not fine.

HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING! I hope everyone has a good holiday tomorrow and if you don't celebrate it have a good day tomorrow. Drama is starting! I am going to try to get the lighting of the tree up Friday.
