"W-Why me?" I stuttered out my question. I didn't text to come over. I thought he wouldn't talk to me since the recording session didn't go as well as I hoped. My fingernail traces each scar on my hand.

He shrugs his shoulders. He looks around as his fingers play in the newly cut grass. "I felt bad for leaving after we recorded. Of course, I had to record for my channel. You understand that." I nod my head. He continues. "So, I recorded some things and decided to come back so we could hang out."

"That's adorable!" Levi exclaims, clapping her slender hands. Mark looks down at the ground. He was awkwardly smiling down at the ground. He was embarrassed. Just like me. Levi gets up from the white cushion and stretches. "I'll get out of your hair. I'm going to go work on some wedding planning. Have fun!"

She waves goodbye and disappears over the side of the wicker. I sit up to fix the blanket around me. Mark takes Levi's spot on the white cushion. He watches my hands as I pulled on the light green blanket. My face was burning hot. I didn't have any gloves on. My scars were out in the open.

"Here." Mark's hand grabs the blanket underneath my legs. He starts helping me pull. After a lot of pulling and twisting the light green blanket, my bare legs finally became free. I kick my legs into the air. I fall back on the horde of black and red pillows. I cautiously raise my hands to the wicker ceiling. Mark was staring at the little Sun that was left before the moon takes its place.

I sit back up. My hands disappeared beneath the light green blanket. "So, what do you do on your channel?"

Mark turns his head. The question caught him off guard. "Uh..." It takes him awhile to think. "I started out doing horror games. Now, I kinda do silly games but always look for horror games."

"I could never get into horror games. I barely made through the Last of Us. Remember the sewer scene?"

He smiles, looking up at the tree. "Yeah. That was the scariest part of the game."

I look at the tree with him. "I screamed at that part and threw my headphones and controller."

He chuckles under his breath.I guess he didn't want to be rude to laugh in my face. A single flower fell down from the tree. It gracefully fell to the edge of Mark's foot. Another one trailed after it. It flew farther down the hill than his friend.

"It's getting to the end of May." I say out loud. "This tree is going to be bare soon."

Mark holds out one hand. Like a God, a purple-blue flower landed in the middle of his pale palm. His free hand gently lifts my hand out from underneath the light green blanket. My burning hot hand was left out in the cooling down air. He drops the flower in my hand. I start to shake in fear.

My hand was right in the open. Where Mark could clearly see it. See my scars and run away.

His hand lightly pushes my scarred fingers around the flower. His finger trailed along my index finger. He touched every scar. I stopped shaking and stood rigid. I heard him slowly exhale.

"What happened?" He quietly asks.

My heart jumps to my throat. I open my mouth as I tried to think of a lie. "W-When I was a-a little girl, my c-cat didn't like m-me." My stuttering wasn't helping me. I coughed, trying to keep down the stuttering and my tears. "She a-attacked multiple times."

I rip my hand out of his. I get up from the chair. "I got to animate. Sorry that I-I had to cut this short."

I ran down the hill, leaving my IPad and Mark. I let the tears flow down my cheeks. One day, he would've found out. I couldn't tell if the voice was happy or felt bad for me but, I agreed with it for the first time.
