Chapter 22

I woke up to the sound of feet slamming against the floor and Levi screaming at Clem. I hear my door open up. I lift myself up on one arm as my other arm stretches to the ceiling.

"What's happening?" I ask groggily. After getting back from the hospital and the hours spent on talking to a therapist, I stayed up late animating, recording, or editing videos for YouTube. I went to sleep a little late than I wanted to.

"Levi is screaming at Clem about what hairstyle she should have for the wedding." Terrence answers. "Look, I have to go to get my suit for last adjustments and I feel like I shouldn't leave."

"Don't worry. This is all normal for her wedding day. Is Crystal trying her best?" I question.

"Yeah, she's trying but for how long? Don't know."

"I'll go down and maybe I can make them come to an agreement." I blindly wave a hand at him. "Go get your suit. I'll be down there shortly."

"Thank you, Aria." Terrence says before shutting my door.

The screaming continues. My body slams into my queen size bed before going into the fray. I covered my ears as I walk down the brown wooden stairs.

"This hairstyle is the reason why I grew out my hair!" Levi shouts.

"This hairstyle would look good with your dress!" Clem shouts back.

I step into the kitchen. Levi and Clem were both positioned on the opposite sides of the island. An assortment of pictures were spread out across the countertop. Crystal was sitting in between them. She was holding her head in her hands.

I've never seen Crystal like that before. I had to help her. I place a hand against Crystal's back. Levi's and Clem's gazes shifts to me. They both had a burning fire in their eyes

I hesitate, the words not coming to mind. "W-W-What's is going on here?" I ask, shyly. "W-What did you do to Crystal?"

Clem answers first. "We have to get our hair done in 15 minutes and I'm trying to be a good sister and Maid of Honor by helping her pick out a hairstyle. She's the one who's be difficult."

"It's my wedding day!" Levi retorts. "I want everything to be perfect!"

I glance at the photos of hairstyles and then at Levi's long strawberry blonde hair. I grab Levi's phone. Typing in a hairstyle, I show it to Levi.

"H-How about this?" I weakly ask. "It's a nice bun which your veil can clip into. Your red hair against the white dress would make it pop out."

Levi takes a menacing look at her phone. Her gaze softens. "I did like this hairstyle when the tailors said that it would look good with your dress." She stares at it longer before she starts to compare it to other hairstyles. "I like that you brought this hairstyle up. Thank you Aria."

Clem and Crystal both place their hands on my shoulders. "Thank you." They whisper with happiness and fear mixed together.

Clem coughs, standing up taller. "We have three hours to get our hair done, get you in your beautiful dress, and have ourselves a wedding." She claps her hands. "Let's do this!"

"Has anyone seen Terrence?!" Crystal cries, petrified out of her mind.

Crystal has been scared from the thought of the wedding as she tried to keep everything nice and clean with a nice little bow on top. Terrence, his brother, one of Terrence's co-workers,and Mark were supposed to be here. The wedding starts in ten minutes and they were nowhere to be found.
