In honor of the possible book ill be writing on my other account, and that yesterday was the day of the
dead, I chose to do one of my favorite songs from The Book of Life today, I know this song doesn’t match his voice at all, but at least I’m writing again. I hope you enjoy. AND THANK YOU FOR WATING SO LONG IM SO INCONSISTENT AND CONSTANTLY PROCRASTONATING.

With the confidence of the gods, the bear strutted up to the stage. Mic was out of the way while you were sat comfortably back in your little stool. The entire room had an antsy and competitive vibe to it while you awaited the bears next performance, and the inevitable voting of when one of the two of you would be kicked off.

“Here for his second round, and with confidence that puts everyone on their toes, please welcome back the bear to the stage!” Present Mic announced from somewhere off stage. The bear began to position himself.

Finally, the lights turned into a golden orange, the stagehands rolled in a few props such as mirrors and
extra lights. The bear stood completely still and silent, his head up. Is he grinning confidently or scowling
hungrily under that mask? A woman dressed in all black ran up to him and handed him a microphone then scurried off once again.

I guess he’s not dancing much this time around. You thought to yourself, you knew his movement would be restricted with a microphone in hand, let alone being slowed down by such a large costume. You brought your index finder and thumb to your chin and grabbed it while in your daze.

The bears chest expanded for a moment as he took a deep breath in to calm himself. Then, with the wave of his hand, the music began.

It started with a nice calm guitar. You heard the bear let out the big breath he had been holding right into the microphone as he began.

(Here the song clip from the book of life)

He scarcely moved with three different spotlights pointing at him, he seemed to be in his element, but you weren’t sure if his confidence was an act to fool everyone or not.

He took a sharp, audible, breath in, then began, “I love you too much,” He started flawlessly. You could imagine him closing his eyes with the sweat of
concentration dripping from his unknown face. You immediately got chills.

“To leave without you loving
me back.”

“I love you too much, heavens my witness and this is a fact.” The bear only held the mic with both hands while looking up at the judges, who were all completely drawn into the song, and only two lines in none
the less.

“I know I belong, when I sing this song.” He started to sway a bit as he walked closer to the edge of the stage.

“There’s love above love and its ours, cause I love you too much.” The bear got down on one knee once he reached the very edge of the stage.

The lights got a bit brighter and two men came from either side of the stage and began to dance together, though all the attention was on the bear.

The audience, no, everybody was quietly listening, as if they were pulled into the imagination of the bear, counting you.
You could feel the emotions in each note, hell, you could damn near smell the decaying leaves of autumn and feel the pound of your heart as if you finally confessed your love to someone.
