Ok so I was rewatching Sander Sides, as one does as a coping mechanism, and I came a across something interesting. Thomas and his team could have had Remus appear in anyway they wanted because he's demented. They literally could have had him fall from the ceiling or something, using the green screen, but they had him pop up from behind the TV.
It's cannon that Patton is scared of spiders and therefore Thomas is scared of spiders aswell, to a degree. But, Roman is also scared of spiders.
In the Losing My Motivation Video, Logan said he saw a spider behind Roman (4:11). At this Roman jumped out of the way.

And yes this could be just a reflex, and Remus' character might not even had crossed real Thomas' mind yet, but don't think it's a coincidence that Remus showed up in the same place Roman showed fear.
Before fully going back to his place, Roman checks to see if anything is there behind the TV.

Again at the time this video was made, I don't think Thomas knew that he would create Remus as a character, but I still don't think it's a coincidence that Remus popped up in the one other place Roman showed fear.
