Chapter-12

Rose slowly opened her eyes, and blinked until her vision was clear. Two men were directly in her line of vision. One was short, with dark raven hair and dull cold blue eyes that could easily be mistaken for gray, and the other had combed blonde hair and -- to her -- captain eyebrows and fidget spinner is here to meet them.

"Uh.." a voice said really close to her. She turned her head over to her right and her eyes met with Eren sitting up in the bed next to hers. His arms were chained up. Furrowing her eyebrows together, Rose looked down and saw she, too, was chained. She rolled her eyes and stared blankly at the men. 

Where.. are we?" Eren asked after he noticed Rose in the room with him.

"As you can see.. Let's just say you're in a dungeon. At the moment, you're in Military Police custody. They finally gave us permission to speak with you two just a minute ago," the blonde explained. He then held up a key that Rose recognized was Eren's.

"That key-"

"Yes, it's yours. I'll return it to you later. The basement of Dr. Jaeger's home in Shiganshina District where you were born. That's where the secret to the mystery of the Titans is. Is that correct?" the blonde asked Eren. 

"Yes. I believe so. That's what my father said," Eren said.

"You lost your memory, and your father is missing.. That's a very convenient story," the raven haired man said. Rose looked at him as that guy she was always being compared to.

"Levi, I believe we can to the conclusion that he has no reason to lie. There's still a lot we don't know but what I think we need to do now is to ask your intentions," the blonde said.

"My intentions?" Eren asked confused.

"To search your house where you were born will necessitate that we reclaim Wall Maria in Shiganshina District. I'd take drastic measures to seal the hole in that gate quickly. We'd need your Titan strength. In the end, our fate will be decided by Titans. Perhaps the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan function just like you do. Your intentions hold the key. The key to saving humankind from this despair," the blonde explained.

Eren looked down, "Me?"

"Give us your answer, scumbag. What do you want to do?" Levi asked impatiently.

"I want to join the Scout Regiment, and kill Titans," Eren said with a creepy smile on his face. Rose gave him a concerning look before turned away. Levi was about to say something but was interrupted by the blonde man. He held up a emerald necklace and looked at Rose.

"This is your necklace, am I correct? , Although we couldn't taken off that white bracelet.." he asked. 

Rose stared at him with her green eyes, "Yes."
And looked down at her jade bracelet.

"I heard that when you touch the necklace, you can create a short-term force field, is that true?" he questioned. That caught Levi's attention and he turned his head to stare at the dark haired girl. Her eyes met his but her face didn't change. It remained emotionless and apathetic.

"Well if it wasn't I wouldn't be down here, now would I?" Rose asked with a hint of annoyance in her voice. The blonde chuckled, "That is true I guess."

"I see.. Do you have an idea how or why you are able to do those things?" Erwin asked raising and eyebrow.

"Not a single clue. It'd be nice to know myself," Rose confessed. She didn't want to create more drama.. although she knew that her custody will be given to the scouts regiment.

Erwin nodded and stared the necklace around in his hand, "It a very pretty necklace. It matches you eye colour."

Rose was shocked but didn't showed it, "Could you just get to the point? I don't appreciate being stared down from that guys over there, and I am not in a great health right now. She checked her pulse which was irregular. "Probably arrhythmia", she murmured to herself.

Erwin caught her murmuring "what did you just murmured??".

"Nothing" rose replied.

"Ah! I remembered, when they investigated your bag, there was different type of pills like, and a substance that stinks..also". Erwin said to her.

With hearing that she snapped her head towards Erwin "that's called medicine, improved medicine." She replied.

Eren was surprised at her that she didn't get intimidated by both of them; it was irregular for her to talk that much, she just walk pass to everyone.

"Listen here bra-" Levi started but was, once again, interrupted by Erwin. 

"You obviously heard what I explained to Eren, so I need to know your answer. There could possibly be a chance there's something in his basement that could explain you.

Rose just nodded her hair.

"Well, if my choices are either joining the Military Police to get dissected, because that's what they'll most likely do because they're pretty dumb ass, or join the Scout Regiment to possibly find out why I am like I am? I think the answer is motherfucking clear," Rose said through a sweet sickly smile.

"Erwin, I'll be responsible for both of them. Tell that to the higher ups. It's not that I trust them. If they betray us or go out of control, I'll kill them on the spot. The higher ups can't complain. No one's better suited for this job. I'll accept you two.. into the Scout Regiment," Levi stated as he gripped onto the bars of the door. 

Rose looked dead into his eyes.

"Wonderful!!" Rose replied cheerfully, to annoy him.

Levi just rolled his eyes.
