Guilt : A king's Guilt (In Love)

Chapter 1

Princess Avantika Pov:
I was sitting in Temple in our castle praying for A war to end and make my Father and brother return home as i was praying for their victory and safety too.
It was my every day routine in every war to pray thats what i can do atleast sitting in castle protected waiting for my father and Brother to be safe n it always works. But this time there is unsettling feeling in my Heart that wont go away i want this time no different from others.
But suddenly my maid came searching for me i signalled her to stop n let me finish my prayer she stood there quite. I stood up from place where i was sitting n asked her
"What happened kamla?why you came here when i warned that i dont want anyone to disturb my prayer whats so important?"

She seemed little fazed and scared and said
"Your highness i guess we lost the war and the enemy king made king n prince hostage and coming to capture the castle, queen sent me to you to inform that you have to hide in secrete chember as we dont know waht happen if they made it here"
I was literally died hearing that my father n brother are hostages of enemy , not sure what to do i remained silent seeing me silent further she spoke
"Princess Avantila we have to head to chember lets go we dont have enough time"
I looked at her as if she mad or what "why ? Im not hiding in chember, what about mother isn't she coming with me if thats what we are going to do, i wont leave this castle till we are free again"i said.
And i stomped out of temple and head to my mothers quarter as i have to tell her what's my decision.

I reached to my mothers quarter and ask if i can come in she nodded and i pursued she was sitting on her bed thinking hard... Im afraid what might i see cause i have never seen her so tensed posture it occured odd to me i sat infornt of her taht made her look at me before i could say any see spoke
"They arent dead they alive and being hold as hostages what a diagrateful situtation for a warriors its beetter to die in field than be a hostage... I wonder what the enemy may want by doing this... He must have some ultra motive behind doing this".
She looked briefly at me and added
"Princess you came here that means you denied to be undeground...you very well knew that you are our daughter and our dignity we must keep you safe or kill you by my own hand rather than you in enemy's hand".
It had occured me that she must add this she is a strong headed women like me wont give up and a perfect queen but im no less debet person we still have hope they are alive we can speak to enemy clan and make it work than losing it n hiding n running.
Thinking that i said
"mother i know your all worries but i refuse to hide we can still work this out by talking to enemy they didnt kill them that must be reasonable there must me something that made them take that decision we just have to talk it out and sort way out "
Raising an eyebrow at my speech my mother said
"enemy king has a brutal reputation with hostages n left over clan he either kill all or make them servents n he is hard headed too wont listen he has been ruling southern region n came for north now he no fool... I wonder what our little empire cause him to do this with us only time will tell we have thought of all sides dear i will try my best lets see"
And like that she went to window which is near her bed and stared at night sky ... I too joined her cause it seemed peaceful like a ocean before storm i looked at sky and then at her i hold her hand which was lying on window wall hoping for enemy will agree to us and wont be hard on us.
