Chapter 15

At Seoul General Hospital

Jeongyeon's eyes fluttered open, she roamed her eyes around the white room and the first thing she noticed was the man sleeping on the chair, leaning on her bed beside her.

Looking at him, questions arose in her head.

She wanted to know what happened to Taehyung and where is he right now, her thoughts are full of him.

She moved slowly trying to sit up on her bed, Jimin felt her moving and woke up.

He immediately embraced her. "Jeong! You don't know how scared I am since the day you went missing, I thought I would lose you."

She tried to open her mouth, but no sound left it. She hugged him back before pulling away from him.

"How do you feel? Are you hungry? Do you need anything?" he excitedly asked, too happy that she already woke up.

Jeongyeon smiled at him, instead of responding to his many queries, she asked him about Taehyung. She wanted to make sure he's safe.

"Jimin-ah did the team caught the mobsters?"

"You need to take a break from work Jeongie, don't think too much about them. We will handle it.

Wait here, I'll just call the doctor and get your food." he softly answered as he slowly turned away from her.

"Jimin." She called hesitantly. "Please, I wanted to know."

"They're able to slip away from us during the fight Jeong, we discovered their men killed on the fight were not actually members of their gang. But I assure you we will catch them, soon."

Jeongyeon breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the information. She's sure enough that he's with his hyungs right now.

"Stay here, I'll just call your doctor." he instructed before exited the room.

Being alone in the room doesn't help her to stop thinking of Taehyung, thinking about what happened on the Island.

She felt being with him was like a dream. And now, she eventually woke up from her short dream of happiness and came back to her real life.

The door suddenly swung open causing her to snap back to her senses. Jungkook came in and shortly approached her to embrace.

"Thank God, Jeong"

"Sorry."

"No, I should be the one to apologize. I should have protected you." he mumbled as he moved away from the embrace.

"It's not your fault, you as my partner is so cool. Really." she teased but her brows furrowed after realizing the bandage he has in his head.

"I'm fine Jeong! Don't look at me like that, I'm not a baby anymore." he knew what she's thinking right now, she always treats him like a little boy if he has an injury or sickness, and he doesn't like it.

She smiled at him whining, it's one of the things she missed when she's away from him. "Omo, my baby brother is already big now. When would I hear you call me noona Kookie?"

"Aish, never!"

Silence took them for a minute. Fiddling her fingers, Jeongyeon's expression went serious.

"I already found him Jungkook."

He just stared at her waiting for her to continue on her words.

"Our friend, Kim Taehyung." her eyes went teary after saying his name.

His mouth hung open, shocked at what he just heard. "Where is he?"
