-What do you mean, we might be in trouble?- Theo tilted his head to the side, watching Michael intently. The black haired boy looked flushed underneath everyone's questioning gaze, and he unconsciously reached up and pushed his glasses back.
-It might mean nothing. Shit, now I feel stupid for running here after seeing something so usual.- he muttered quietly, causing Thomas to groan deeply.
-You started talking, so please, tell us what you wanted to say.- he said, reaching into his pocket to probably take out a cigarette, but the glare that Sandra sent him made Thomas drop the packet back into his pocket.
-Fine, fine.- In a defensive move Michael lifted his arms, before continuing. -Like I said, it's probably nothing, only a big misunderstanding. But... I think I saw the car that went to the house, but I don't think I remember it correctly. It's probably nothing.- he rambled, running a hand through his hair uneasily.
-Where exactly did you see the car?- Theo asked, narrowing his eyes as he instinctively looked out the window.
-Not far from here, just a road ahead. But really, it's not a big deal, I'm probably wrong anyways.- Michael didn't look at all certain anymore, seeing how all of his friends had a slightly panicked look on their face.
-I have to admit, I'm starting to get scared guys.- Sandra stood up from her place on the couch, heading over to Michael. Michael only nodded, and the boy's face was slowly regaining its colour. The paper white skin regained its rosy, tanned colour, and his cheeks once again radiated life. Especially the dimples that stood on either side of his face, just waiting to reappear once again, after the tension was gone.
-Same. The simple thought, that they might have seen us...- Violet trailed off for a second, but she didn't even need to finish her sentence. Because everyone else felt the same way, scared, what the unknown people could do with them, to keep their secret just that. A secret.
But at the same time, thirst, to know what exactly they had seen sparked inside of Violet.
-What should we do? Cause either we try and forget about this all, or we try and find out what was going on.- Thomas looked across everyone, perhaps lingering his gaze longer then needed, searching for signs of what the others felt.
-I don't know about you guys. But I won't be able to just simply forget everything we saw. I might regret saying this, but I think we should get to the bottom of it all.- Sandra spoke up softly, in the way she always did. The girl's voice was so similar to the warm sun, that waited at the end of a tunnel, giving hope to the person seeing it.
-I have to agree with Sandra, there is no way that I'm letting go of this whole secret. Plus, like Thomas said before, what a cool story it would be, telling our kids how we uncovered a big secret in our hometown.- Theo nodded his head in agreement to what Michael had said.
-Same. Violet, Thomas? What do you guys say?- Violet scoffed in disbelief, rolling her eyes at Thomas.
-If the thought that I'm forgetting about what we saw even entered your mind, you seriously don't know me.- she muttered, which caused Michael to laugh.
