(No ones POV)

Lately, Keith has been consumed with work. Allura and Hunk were out of town and were going to be for a month because they were helping their family's.

Since Keith was so wrapped with work, he hasn't been paying a lot of attention to Lance. And he was having enough of it.

So today, Lance decided to try as hard as he could to get daddy to notice him.

***
Lance laid in bed, waiting for Keith to come get him for breakfast. He's been sleeping in his own bed for a week and a half because Keith had to work late at night.

He continued to squirm in bed and whine. Why wasn't daddy coming to get him?
Recently, Lance has made the discovery that he can crawl, so he's been crawling around like his life depended on it. Due to his crawling faze, Keith had to install more baby gates around the house. Including one on his own room and by the stairs. All Lance could crawl too is to the bathroom and his own room.

Lance rolled out of bed and crawled over to Keith's room which was down the hall. The door was open but the baby gate was locked so he got on his knees and looked in.

Keith was already on the phone with papers in his hand, reading over information. Lance shook the gate a little, trying to get his attention. When that didn't work he started whining a little, shaking the gate harder.

Keith held a figure up, signaling he needed a minute. Lance didn't want to wait a minute. He wanted attention now and he couldn't because daddy was on the phone.

Keith was started to get annoyed when Lance didn't stop whining. He was on a very important call yet Lance was about to ruin it if he continues on fussing.

Ten more minutes of whining and fussing and Keith had enough. He gave Lance a look that could send shivers down your spine. He then took a deep breath and turned around.
"Hey, can I actually call you back?"

Lance knew he was gonna be yelled at. Keith lowered his phone from his ear and turned to him. You could see the fire in his eyes. He wasn't happy at all.

"Lance McClain."

He knew he was in big ass trouble. Keith hardly used Lances name, never his last either.

"I was on an important call! You can't interrupt me!" He stumbled back from the gate when Keith stomped his foot.
"Room. NOW!"

Lance scrambled to his room and hid under the covers. He didn't understand why daddy was mad. He just wanted to cuddle and eat something.

                                       ***

Keith was in the process of emailing his boss, apologizing for the interruption and asked when he could call him back.

Lance was in some deep shit. Keith could have been fired. Granted, Lance didn't know any better. But he should of been patient and waited a few minutes.

(Lance's room)

Lance climbed into bed and just cried. He didn't mean any harm. Was daddy going to hurt him? So many thoughts clouded his mind but he stuck on one thought, don't let daddy touch him. He didn't like or want to be yelled at. He could hear him outside the door Lance had managed to close. It sounded like he was pacing, thinking about what to do with him. This just made him sob harder.

This reminded him to much of back in the warehouse, tied in the corner with footsteps passing the door every few minutes, some peaking in to see the small boy shaking in the corner, only to chuckle and leave again.

At this moment Lance really felt like dying. He made someone he loved angry and that always resulted in brutal punishments. Punishments he didn't want to go though again.

He clutched the stuffy he had gotten from daddy and he pushed himself against the wall on the side of his bed, as if preparing for the 'monster' on the other side of the door.

After a minute, Keith swung open the door, looking at his baby shuddering at him. Oh he wanted to yell so bad. But he knew it wasn't entirely his fault. So he went cautiously about this.

"Lance."
That's all he said before Lance just started wailing, he was terrified. Oh he wished Lura or Hunk were here to protect him.
"Lance McClain. Look at me right now."
He slowly looked up, tears spilling from his eyes.

"Do you understand what you did? I could have gotten fired. But you had to make a ruckus and disturb my phone call, did you?" Keith sounded stern but he tried to not yell in case he were to scare the poor boy more.

He just continued to sob. He didn't know what to do or how to make daddy happy again. All he knew was he was hungry, he wanted a clean diaper and onesie, and he wanted to just take a nap with daddy as he hasn't been sleeping well.

"Stop the crying and answer me!" He walks up to him and pulls the plushy out of his hand, tossing it out the door. Now Lance was panicking. Oh god. This was the end. He was going to die.

"Well?!" He looked up at him, he was obviously super angry.
"S-sorry... I'm... s-s-sorryyyy~!" He sobbed, now clutching his pillow.
Keith reached out to snatch the pillow from the poor boy so he could see his face but was met with a scream. A loud, heart aching scream.

Keith's expression suddenly changed, he was no longer angry but guilty. He had worked so hard to get the baby to trust him and now their trust was probably broken. He probably scared the daylights out of him. Now he just wanted to hold him and tell him he was so sorry. So damn sorry.

"Baby... come here.." he crouched down and held his hands out. All Lance did was sob way harder and attempt to move farther away. He messed up. He messed up so bad and now he had to pay. Lance no longer trusted him.

He didn't know what to do.
