Florence walked into the meadow, it looked just as she had left it. Florence rested for a bit taking a quick nap and cleaning herself until River came back. Florence's heart felt full as River padded into the meadow. "how'd it go?" Florence asked. "Alright, I suppose. Except I only really said I was going exploring...how'd it go with you?" Florence rubbed her forehead "Bad...I don't want to talk about it.." River patted Florence on the back before they both went to sleep in their sheltered meadow encircled by lush dangerous jungle. The sun rose early and Florence woke up excited and happy for the first time in 2 years. "River! River! Wake up!" Florence announced before crashing on top of her. River yelped in surprise "alright alright I'm up. get off me" River meowed. "Ok," Florence said, smiled as she got off of River. "Let's go!" yawned River before shaking off the last bits of sleepiness. River and Florence went straight for that was really the only way to go, the left was the Jaguar's side right was the tiger's side and to the back of them was the entryway to the meadow. And so the two started their journey, one that they had been hoping for since they were cubs. A journey like no other. After a while, they stopped to eat, drink, and rest a little. They had walked a long distance and Florence was starting to wonder if the jungle ever ended. They pushed through another bush, and in front of them lay a big flat grey line. "What in the world.." muttered River. Florence padded onto the big flat surface, sniffed it and got a better look at it. "I think....I think it's a human path.." Florence informed River. "It must be," said River "Look how far it goes." The two looked at the never-ending path. River wrinkled her nose "Plus, it smells funky." Then, the two heard a very, very, strange noise, a sort of puttering sound which was new to their ears. Then they saw it, a strange-looking contraption with four wheels. At the back of it, a small tube was there, and odd-smelling smoke-like fumes were coming out of it. Florence and River both held their paws to their noses as the thing went by. "That smelled awful!" River exclaimed "yeah!" Florence said in reply. "What kind of animal was THAT?" River questioned. Florence tilted her head and started to say something in reply but before she could the strange beast rolled backwards and in front of River and Florence. River and Florence looked at each other in unison. Strange sounds were coming out of the animal, it sounded like...music? "What the-" River started to say but all of the sudden. The creature OPENED UP. And out came two HUMANS and even more of that disgusting smokey smell which seemed to be coming from the sticks in the humans' mouths. River and Florence looked at the humans in utter awe and confusion. What in the universe was happening? Finally, the two cat's brains came back to earth and they were just about to bolt when one of the human's picked up Florence! "FLORENCE!" River yelled. she snarled at the human, but he merely smiled. "Get the needles, James ." the older human said. "Coming right up, Dominic." the other human jumped out of the creature and held up a long pointy thing with a sharp end. He stuck it into Florence and River with ease, so swiftly that They both didn't have time to move or run away. River collapsed and her whole body was paralyzed she watched the two humans jump into the beat and move away so quickly River couldn't believe it. River couldn't even let out a scream all she could do was watch, and then it all went dark.
