"Tete..." said Jungkook lowering the book from Tae's hands approaching his face so the latter would finally acknowledge his presence.
The younger knew he would find him here. After all Taehyung almost never leaves, and when he does he pleads his parents to bring him back the next morning.
So it's not coincidental that our little bunny adores it too since pairs could never be apart.
And a pair is exactly what they formed the second they shook hands the first day they met, promising they would always and forever stay together. A promise they tacitly made just here, two years ago.
Because yes of course their favorite place is the park that was just couple of years earlier their dear kindergarten... The place of their first encounter ... Their first memories together simply their starting point.
It's just a place they'll hold dear forever. Whatever shape or form it might take .
However if you asked our two boys now that they are only 8 about their reasoning behind their latching onto this special place. Their answer would be summarized in two words: "swinging chair".
Actually it's more of "two swinging chairs" since the red one was Taehyung's and the yellow one Jungkook's but it's only details.Or maybe not...after all they both chose yellow first it's just that Tae's final choice is always Kook.
And maybe just maybe that's why the second he heard a tiny whine coming from his side , he completely ditched the precious story in his hands to divert his full attention to that pouting face next to him whom finally obtaining what he wanted ( meaning Tae's attention) turned his frown into that famous innocent smile of his just before using all the ''herculean'' strength in his frail arms, deposed something in his ''world's'' lap.Sitting on his yellow chair , excitedly swinging his hanging feet all proud that he got his parents permission to not only bring but use and be responsible of this amazing gadget , Jungkook enthusiastically said :
"So what do you think ?! impressive RIGHT!!!!"
however dumbfounded Taehyung cautiously holding the said device in his lap eyeing him curiously from all angles could only pronounce : "....euh...yes...but guk...''
and jungkook turns his head.
( Really all it takes for Tae to get his interest is to call his name .)
"...what is this?"
To be honest a huge dramatic gasp wasn't exactly what he expected but it still was a response and particularly a clue . Really it should have been a huge hint about his upcoming doom .
Though don't be so hard on him he's barely 8 and even if he has already picked up most of Kookie's habits : like how he scrunches his nose when laughing, how he slurps boxes of banana milk if anxious or how he stomps his left foot like the bunny he is when he's all expectant and impatient... but this...this Tae couldn't expect."YOU DON'T KNOW POLAROIDS" he expressed shock painted all over his cute puffy face.
One look to the device on his thighs.
One look to his bunny then back to the camera...Judging from his blank lost stares the younger concludes :
"okay you definitely don't know what this is!...though I saw you in one today.... (he murmurs more to himself, thinking)... Doesn't matter... Come let's take a photo! First time using my new Pola...""NO"
Here comes the downfall....
Upon hearing the world picture Tae immediately took a stand against this innocent idea, obstructing any trial to persuasion. He was afraid of cameras, never liked them actually never even used one properly too fearful of their flashlight.
At least that was his justification when younger but the undeniable truth was that he never got used to one and well he never been one to step out of his comfort zone, only liking to discover through stories too reserved and timid to explore the world. If it wasn't for Jungkook he wouldn't even have set a foot on this grass.
Yes he loved his red chair, and yes he enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful scene of the sun setting down on thousands of colered flowers , it made him think he was in a magic island where only the prettiest things would live (explaining the tiny chuuby-cheeked bunny's presence next to him) but it took Kook a lot of tricking to get him back here the first time.
He was really slick clever for an 8 year old boy.
However for the shy little Taehyung refusal was always his first automatic response.
And it would have been perfectly fine if only Jungkook didn't heard their classmate bragging about taking a photo with none other than the one and only fairy Kim Taehyung.
Well this wasn't technically the truth since Tae only happened to be near by ending up accidentally and unknowingly in the frame when the said classmate took his picture... But it was enough for our little koo to wonder why his supposingly best friend never took a photo with him. It was enough to make him ask, more like persestly nag for a Polaroid as an early birthday present and use his first frame ever with his bestie.
So you can imagine his disappointment when his "Tete" completely refused not even leaving him the chance to explain the process.
