I reached the palace and called my maids and introduced them to Samara . i told them to show her to the maid quarters and give her food and clean clothes.Then i quickly changed my clothes and started planning how i should apologize to Kaelean. After some thinking i decided i would beg him to forgive me which would make him feel that i'm shameless and then he would even ignore me more and at the same time he will think that i'm just a stupid girl who can't stand up for her actions and he will probably forgive me or he will give some miscellaneous punishment.I would hit two birds with one stone.
I asked one of my maids to show me to the crown prince's chamber.When i reached outside Kaelean's living chambers i asked a maid who was standing outside to go and ask for permission for me to enter from Kaelean .After a while the maid called me inside .
I walked in. Kaelean's room was double the size of my room and it was beautiful with the right amount of furniture and flashiness.It was truly a mirror of what a room of a royal should look like.While i was admiring the room's interior design i saw a tall and broad figure near the window with his back towards me .

The setting sun consuming with whole room with red and orange rays .I quickly said "I ask for your forgiveness, your sire.I would accept any punishment you impose on me. I deserve no mercy and I have committed a grave mistake by not knowing my place.But sire i beg you to think of me as just a stupid girl who is lacking in wisdom."
He chuckled when I said the last sentence but did not answer to my apology.I bent down to my knees to make my act look even more realistic and desperate and started sobbing a bit.Anyone would be fooled by my wonderful acting.
After like 5 or ten minutes I was still on my knees when he finally turned around and threw something toward me.I was going to dodge it when I realized that this action could make him more angry that's why I just caught it .It was a red brooch. Kealean said "This brooch is a repayment for helping me buy a gift although you were of no use."This guy is confusing me even more.I just accepted it as a token of amity and thanked him once again.I said "The crown prince truly is a merciful leader.I thank you for forgiving me and for giving me this beautiful brooch.I will treasure it for my whole life."Then I was about to leave when he formed a barrier in front of him and when i turned around i saw his red eyes glowing dangerously ,"Lady Rensteil, if you ever dare to block my path again then be aware that you will see no mercy."I wanted to slap his cheeky face but I knew better so I quickly nodded and went outside.
Those red eyes that had looked at me had been full of menace.I smiled thinking about those eyes.I had first been scared that my actions might make the crown prince interested in me but i was wrong.Today's event made the distance between me and Kaelean increase even more.This means I have to put up with this act for one more month until Marionette joins the National Academy and then i can have tranquil life.
When I reached my quarters I lay on my bed ,happy because I had not only successfully avoided a problem that could have changed the plot but I had also ruined all the chances of Kaelelan becoming interested in me.I turned my body when I felt a sharp thing nudge my arm.
The red brooch glistened in the room light .The mere sight of it made me angry.'Treasure it my whole life', my foot.I was going to throw the brooch out of the window when i realised that it was quite an expensive item so I thought it would be disrespectful of me to throw this when thousands of poor people in this country like Samara didn't even have proper meals.I quietly decided to give it to Samara.
One week later
OMG i can't believe today is Odette's birthday.The previous week went by in the blink of an eye cause i was so busy looking for a perfect gift for Odette and also because Odette literally made me select her whole outfit by making me look at her try on different dresses, shoes and jewellery for 3 days straight.I decided to wear a strapless dress which was white in color and had small gold jewellery embroidered on them. Odette on the other had wore an off shoulder blue gown which had pink diamond roses sewn on it.She also decided to wear a blue hair pin selected by me matched with a three set blue necklace that suited her eyes.
The party started and the guests slowly started pouring in the large ballroom.My hair had grown quite long in the past three months and I left my hair loose for the party. Then I saw my parents and quickly ran towards them and gave them a big hug. My mom and dad asked me if i was happy and if i was being treated nicely.Then my mom, Duchess Rensteil told me that they received a flood of letters from many nobles, some of them asking for my hand in marriage while others were inviting me to attend their tea parties.Then we talked some more when i saw Mary wearing a baby pink strap dress with her silver straight hair left loose.She looked pretty good which was nice cause today was an important day in the novel. That's when i looked around to see the original female lead Suzzanne who was said to be a two faced bitch in the novel whose place was taken by Mary after she reincarnated.I saw her .A young girl who looked the same age as me but was pretty short and had lime green and big innocent eyes.I knew at once she was Suzy the sly fox.I think it's best for me to avoid her as she is very manipulative and cunning.
I felt many eyes on me as if I was a walking chicken or something but I have become more accustomed to these stares after the first party. Kaelean entered but wait a minute why is he here?
Eugene Callisto is not supposed to be here.According to the novel he had gone on a royal expedition as an envoy of the Arevacii Empire and he is not supposed to be here .In the novel he returns one month after Odette's birthday and meets Mary at the National Academy and then falls for her.Why is this dude here.This is very bad very very very bad.He is one of the main leads and him being here will greatly impact the original storyline. Therefore he is another person I must avoid at all costs.I was thinking about all of these matters that I didn't even realize that odette had come.When I looked at Odette i saw her smiling at me then her eyes looked at the person beside her brother and then she blushed.I looked at her blushing face and then looked at Mary's who was going to be the reason for her heartbreak later.
Odette cut the cake and then it was time for the dance. Odette had her first dance with Kaelean and it was hard not to look at the dazzling pair of blond siblings who were talking and laughing genuinely while dancing.Then I was going to hide in a corner when a large group of men came towards me and started asking for a dance.I politely refused them all and tried to think of a plan to escape when I saw Lindy walking towards me.I also quickly went to her and then we talked for some time while more men kept asking me for a dance and I kept turning them down .I looked around and saw Mary dancing with Kaelean and I saw Camilia throwing daggers from her eyes at Mary.Though Suzy was smarter but I could make out from her expression that she was displeased .I then saw her approach Eugene.This was a very brave move as Suzy was a daughter of a mere baron while Eugene was the archduke ,the most powerful man after the king, son.He said something and got up and started walking in our direction and i saw his blue eyes sparking mischievously.I decided to turn around and walk towards Odette just to avoid and accidental meetings when suddenly a firm cool hand clasped my wrist.I prayed that it was one of those men who i had earlier heartlessly rejected and not him.I turned around and saw him, Eugene Castillo smiling as he said "Will you join me for a dance, Miss Khione Rensteil?"
