Not even a villainess

Letter

I was ready to explode the person who had caught my hand with my mana. That's when I saw that person had bright red hair and orange eyes.

Camilia snapped and whispered in an irritated voice, 'Are you mad? Do you have a death wish? What are you doing here?'

I replied in a hushed voice as we hid in a corner , 'Do you think I want to die? Seriously ! I got lost and that's how I ended up here .But why are you here when you exactly know where the Assembly hall is.'

I could make out Camilia's panicked face even though it was a bit dark .She stuttered , ' I I I wa was trying to follow Kaelean that's why I got lost.'

I instantly knew she was lying but I didn't want to press her for answers cause everybody has their own secrets. Camilia quickly explained tom me the directions to the Assembly Hall and when I asked her to come with me she replied, 'I need to go somewhere else'.

I knew it was no use trying to force her to come with me because Camilia had already made her decision.As I walked away I realized that the maybe Camilia wasn't such a bad person ,after all a villainess is just a person who didn't get the chance to explain their side of the story.

I heard bombs being blasted and the sound of guns every now and then.I quickly ran following the directions Camilia had given me.

 After a few turns I stopped dead in my tracks as I saw a girl with orange hair and green cat like eyes. Before I could even blink she drew her sword and killed a person.I quickly hid.I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized that the person I just saw was not a human being but a monster, a demon who didn't even flinch once before killing another human being.I shuddered just thinking about those cold cat-like green eyes.

Thats when I heard someone scream.I checked to see who it was.I should have known it would be Mary obviously, since she is the main lead so it is obvious that she would find herself in danger and then she would be protected by one of the main leads.I hid and waited for Mary's knight in shining armor to come.I was not going to intervene in their romantic scene so I waited while a man approached Mary with a knife.From the way he held his sword it was pretty evident he was just a delinquent with no real skills in sword fighting.I waited for someone to appear and protect Mary but at the same time I watched the attacker carefully in case nobody comes.But everything went as I predicted.I saw Kaelean appear in front of Mary and he skillfully detached the knife from the attacker using his mana. After seeing that Mary was absolutely safe now I was about to continue my escape ,that's when I saw a more men approach mary and Kaelean.

I didn't care about them so I turned but then I realised in the opposite direction where Kaelean and Mary were standing , a small blue haired boy lay crouched down .I silently cursed myself for not noticing him earlier.I ran towards him .Both Mary and Kaelean were surprised to see me running towards them .I didn't even look at them and passed by.When I got nearer I saw that Felix had a wound on his arm and it was bleeding.Anger boiled inside me as I quickened my pace.Two men with knives ran towards me and I heard Kaelean's voice but I was so angry that I couldn't make out what he had said.I used my magic and flung both of them away in the air.

When I reached where Kaelean was I hugged him tightly and whispered , 'it's fine now everything is fine now, I'm here with you now'. Felix looked at me with tears in his eyes and hugged me tightly. Kaelean and Mary had also followed me and were now beside me.I said in a low cold voice , 'Heal him properly Mary.'

(Mary has healing magic)

I got up and looked at the group of men approaching us like hyenas.I was gonna kill every single one of them.How dare they hurt an innocent child who has done nothing to them .The ground around me turned black as my anger rose.

I felt a hand on my wrist. Kaelean said , 'I will take care of them,you are hurt right now ' while pointing at my elbow which was bleeding slightly.I said , 'Release my wrist or else I will tear your hand apart.' Kaelean didn't release my hand then I used my mana and threw him back.I walked towards the group of almost 20 men.All of them got goosebumps when they saw my face and felt my overpowering mana .I summoned my mana and flung them away in a flick of my hand .I walked towards the men who were now on the ground.I was going to kill every single one of these men .I took out my dagger and raised it so that I could kill one of the men when Felix hugged my waist and sobbed, 'I'm alright now .Please come back.' When I saw Felix and heard his words the anger and mana which was raging in my body just a second ago left my body and I almost fell down.I knew I had overexerted my mana . I realised that I would have killed a human being just a second ago if Felix hadn't stopped me.I would have become the same monster that I has seen some time ago. I took his hand and used my remaining mana to create a protective barrier around him and then I fell down.While a pair of cat like green eyes watched us.

The next thing I saw was a bright white ceiling.The nurse came running inside and gave me a few medicines .She asked me how I was feeling and then she scolded me for over exerting my mana. I looked around and asked her if Felix was safe .The nurse replied that he was safe and that he had been taken back to the orphanage.She said that Felix had cried the whole day I had been in bed and that he refused to go back to the orphanage without saying goodbye to me.She said that the little guy had refused to go and remained stuck near my bed the whole day and that they couldn't even touch him because of the protective barrier I had placed on him.The nurse then said that surprisingly the next day Felix agreed to go back to the orphanage and told the nurse to give a letter to me.The nurse then gave me the letter and went outside .The letter contained Felix's scribbly handwriting and the ink was smudged at some areas which meant that Felix had been crying when he had written this letter.In the letter he told me to look after myself and not to worry about him and he had also written that he would become a great swordsman like that man and make me proud.When I read his letter I couldn't help but smile.I wonder who 'that man' is but I guess somethings are best left unknown.
