A/N: I am truly sorry if this chapter isn't good, and it's lacking in quality. I am very hard on myself when I write, and I feel this chapter doesn't truly live up to my standards of how I've written previous chapters, stories, and my writing in general.

NONETHELESS, I still hope you enjoy this chapter! And I also want to say that this story only has a few more chapters left. Getting closer to the end my lovely readers!

By now he was used to waking up in the morning with half of the world being nothing but a blur on his right side, but he thought that this time would once again be different. He envisioned waking up and seeing tufts of brown hair in his vision- whether blurry or clear he didn't care, because at least that would mean Tony stayed with him. However, once again he finds his bed empty. He doesn't bother moving, he lays there on his side and stares at the sheets.

He thinks that maybe he hallucinated, and that he dreamed of Tony once again. Because not only was the bed empty just like the first time, but there was also nothing but the sketchbook on the dresser. He sighs heavily and moves the pillow that is comforting his head towards his chest, clutching it firmly as if it was Tony. He doesn't know what to think at this point. If he is dreaming, then the dreams are way too real and it's more like he's being tortured, which a dream isn't supposed to do because that's a nightmare. Dreams are like feathers; soft and gentle, nothing more than a simple way to send a tickle to the brain that leaves the body relaxed and tingly. On the other side of the spectrum, dreams can be the ocean, or maybe even a flower; beautiful when gazed upon much like a flower is to the trained eye, but submerged within the depths of the dream, much like the ocean, is a hidden meaning into the dream, and while the oceans depths may be black, and harbor deadly creatures, when a dream is compared to the depths of the ocean does not mean the dream itself is ugly, but that one has to look deeper into the dream. And while, yes, the deep black bottom of the ocean may be scary to some, realistically there is an unexplained beauty in the unknown.

Regardless, his dreams feel more like a way to play with his emotions rather than soothe them. Whether the dreams are sexual, or tame, the mind always has a certain way of either playing with the brain, or giving it contemptment. Right now, he feels like his mind is being played with and it's far worse than the beatings and bullet wounds he received from Ross and his guards. It's worse than the whole Siberia situation, the whole "Civil War", as people call it, that tore apart the Avengers. They were bad, don't get him wrong, but nothing can compare to the feeling of wanting to see your loved one, but finding out they're no longer there.

But then suddenly the door to his room opens, but he doesn't think anything of it. It's when he smells the sizzling crispy bacon, and sees the half blurry, half clear, short, and slightly muscular build of his favorite brunette walk through the door with a plate of bacon, eggs, pancakes lightly drizzled in syrup, and two pieces of buttered toast resting gently on the eggs, accompanied by a cup of orange juice, did he think that maybe he didn't dream that the brunette was in his room. Maybe this time he actually was in his room and got up early to make him breakfast.

"Oh, you're awake." He says a little startled, but adds a chuckle towards the end. "Sorry about not being here when you woke up, I wanted to make you breakfast and be here but I got caught up talking to T'Challa." He places the plate of food and the cup of juice gently on the dresser, moving the sketchbook out of the way just so it didn't get dirtied somehow. He didn't say anything, for he simply just stared at the genius, which in return made him smile nervously and scratch the back of his head. "In case you're wondering, T'Challa and I were talking about the accords and trying to fix them so we can all go home back to the compound. I actually have to go speak to him again but, well, I wanted to come see you and make you breakfast in bed."
