"C'mon Lily she won't notice."

"Are you sure?"

"My sister might be the nicest but, she isn't the smartest."

Lily let out a snort and made her way towards the closet with Alexa. It's hard being best friends with someone whose whole life revolves around trouble. Even if she hated it, she wouldn't do anything in the world to change that.

Alexa signed, "So, who's going first?"

"I volunteer you as a tribute," Lily answered while giggling.

Alexa opened the door and they were stunned by a shimmering glow coming from the dress. "Whoa, that's her wedding dress?"

"Gorgeous, isn't it?" Alexa answered happily, "Now help me put it on."
With a few tugs and grunts, they managed to get the dress on Alexa successfully.

"Now, correct me if I'm wrong but, now you look like your cooking with the princess." Lily laughed loudly. Alexa cringed and thought of her youtube channel in 8th grade. Did she think she was a princess at that age?

"Whatever, Liliana," she responded smugly. Now it was Lily's turn to cringe after figuring out her parents named her after her father's toad. She never looked at her name the same. Alexa suddenly smiled brightly, "I have a great idea." Oh no, that smile always brings us to a disaster, Lily thought.

They made their way downstairs towards the kitchen. "One last video for my youtube channel for a memory, show them I'm a real princess in this dress," Alexa said. She shrugged and began filming.

"You see, the dress is in perfect condition," Alexa said smugly after she finished icing the cake. Lily rolled her eyes. "Don't be like that, Lily you know I was joking." Alexa signed when she didn't get a response. She suddenly sat up and reached for the cake.

"You know you want some," Alexa said as she teased Lily with the cake. She saw Lily starting to break into a smile and continued her performance. Alexa walked backward with the cake in hand.
"Watch out!!" Lily screamed, reaching out towards Alexa. It was too late. Alexa felt like all was happening in slow motion, she tripped on her younger brothers' skateboard. With a gasp, Alexa landed on her back with the cake right on her chest.

They quickly reacted and made their way towards the cleaners.
"$600!!," Alexa screamed, "Are you sure you got the right dress?"
Lily tapped her should and pointed towards a sign.

"No money. No clothes."

"What got us in this mess is gonna get us out," Alexa said.

* 2 weeks later and many messy pans later*

"560..580..$600!!" Lily and Alexa stood up and jumped.

The nights of Lily and Alexa staying up baking goods to sell the next day paid off. They sold whenever they could during school, after school even during practice. With Alexa's baking skills and Lily's decoration, they sold out in a matter of days. Even if they got grounded, the nights of laughter made up for it.
