chapter 14

I throw my phone at the wall. My chest ached. I wanted to cry. I wanted to kill everyone who would even thinks about doing that. Stevie looks at me concered. "Alpha whats wrong" he asks placing a hand on his shoulder.

I turn to look at him. Tears in my eyes. "Its Tony" i take his hand and pull him into a hug. "He's dead" steve breaks down. Crying into my chest.

"How" he asks trying to calm down but failing.

"Didn't get that far before breaking my phone" i say then i start crying aswell.

30 minutes later.

Stevie and i are curled up in bed as i hear the front door open and someone shouting our names but i couldn't make out who it is. They run up the stairs and into our room. I pick up my gun and aim it at them as they run in. "Buck"

"Oh hey lex. What you want. And be quiet stevie passed out crying"

"The connection broke i thought you were in danger" she says claming down.

"We're fine. How did it happen" thats all i wanted to know.

"Security shows him walking into the parking lot then gun shots are heard. He wasn't armed. A body has not been found" i unhinged steve from my body before stadning up and putting my boxer on.

"What do we do know. What about Harley"

"As he hasnt got any family and I'm his god mother i take full custody. I can then choose who adopts him as i cant take care of him"

"Does he know"

"Natasha and banner are talking to him now. I can't imagine how hard this will be for him."

1 month later

"Ready for school kid" he nods. Today is his first day back and I'm waiting for the call later saying he wants to come home. A few weeks ago stevie and i adopted the kid after he begged us. He's so much like his mother so we couldn't say no.

"You sure you're ready harls i dont want you doing anything you dont want to" stevie asks.

"I'll be fine if not I'll call you" he says. I sigh and go out to the car.

After i drop him off at school and get back home i see steve had shifted and was laying outback in the sun. I walk outside and run a hand through his golden fur. He sighs and that makes me smile. We havent had time to relax recently so its nice.

I shift down and curls up around him. His head tucked underneath mine. If tony was here he'd be between us fast asleep. I miss him so much, we both do, he was my life and now he's gone.

That evening.

"Hey kid" i say walking into his room. He was on his bed on his phone. "Can i talk to you for a minute" he nods as turns his phone off before turning to look at me. "May i sit"

"Yeah"

"Harley i want you to know that no matter what happens we love you. Your mother was everything to us and so are you" he just smiles and nods. "Kid look at me. Stevie doesn't know this yet but i need to tell you this..."
