Tony
"Peter?" I hissed as I stepped out of my suit. We had decided to split up and canvas the area. I had taken the west, with Natasha. She preferred to look from the rooftops rather than the streets.
"Peter?"
"Shut up," Nat called from above, "someone could be listening."
"And?" I asked.
"And, they could be the reason Peter went missing in the first place." I couldn't see her face because it was encompassed in shadows, but I could almost hear her roll her eyes.
"Fine, fine," I conceded, "but-"
I was cut short by the sound of metal hitting pavement. It came from an alleyway one block from where I was standing.
"You heard that, right?" I asked.
"Of course, I'm not an amateur."
I jogged lightly down the street and stopped at the crosswalk. Nat was already on the roof across.
"H-How did you get there?" I asked.
"Unlike you," she sighed, "I have talent."
"I was the one who tracked him down in the first place!"
"Sure, sure..." She said. "Just c'mon!"
I walked across the street and primed a repulsor. I held up three fingers and mouthed "On three. One...two..."
On three, we rushed into the alley, only to be met with two children, each about 13, armed with rocks and broken bottles.
The first, a blonde boy, rushed at me waving a green broken bottle I guessed he picked up nearby. I dodged his swing, but he counter attacked with a rock. The rock hit the side of my head just above my ear, making my vision swim. I don't remember hitting the ground, but that was my current view.
I didn't hear Nat, but I assumed the other kid had gone after her.
"Stop!" A familiar voice called.
I looked up from the pavement, but the figure approaching wasn't discernable in my current state.
"Mr. Stark?" Peter asked. "What are you doing here?"
"Good question," I muttered deliriously.
"We're here for you," Nat spoke. When did she appear?
"Oh my god, I completely forgot about that!" He paused. "Wait, you actually came?"
"Why else would we be here?"
"Right, sorry," he said.
"Don't apologize," she commanded. "Now get your friends, I'll grab tin can, and let's go."
"Thank you," Peter said.
"Anytime."
