Falling

The family

The woman looked as confused as alice and jake did. Alice reached for the woman's arm. she flinched at her touch, but alowed alice to grab her.

"Well, let's bring you to my mother's house, she'll probably be able to help."

The woman looked at alice, her face slowly brightening at her words.

"Ok.That would be better than standing in the cold."

She smiled knowing she brought the mood up a bit.

An older woman stands at a counter in her house's kitchen. She begins to cut a potato as she hears the door open. She lifts her eyes from the cuting board and looks to the doorway.

"Your home eairly alice. What happened to jake?"

Alice rushes into the kitchen with a woman in a hospital gown. The woman has one red eye and a scar over her temple.

"Mom, shes lost her memories. Is there anything you can do to help her?"

The women put the knife down and walked over to the women siting at the dining table. She lifted her head with her hand and studied her face. When nothing was found she looked to her daughter.

"Their doesn't look like there's anything wrong. It might be...."

She trailed off, her eyes moving to the scar on her arm.

"Sarah?"

The red eyed woman spoke finally.

"How do- how do you know my name?"

"I..."

The woman look surprised herself. She had no idea how to word what had happened.

"I heard it..... I heard you say it. I don't know how i heard it, though."

I knocking on the door interrupted her. Sarah walked over to the door and welcomed the guest.

"Matt?"

The red eyed woman stood and walked over to the man. A look of sudden anger and remembrance crossed her face.

"It took you this long to find me?!"

"Hey, I told you before hand it would take a while for us to find you. I see they DID experiment on you, anyway."

Alice grabbed the woman's arm as if she where going to hit matt. Sarah looked at matt and said,

"Wait, what's going on? How do you two know each other?"

Matt looked at sarah, then to alice, and slowly back to the woman.

"It's an operation you should not know. We work together on missions."

He looked to both of them, knowing of the next question.

"She was under cover, and her cover was blone, resulting in this..... Her name is unknown to us."

He took a breath, not wanting to say what had to be.

"We call her, Zero."
