Chapter 5: Visit to an old friend

The next day...

Leah was walking back from her part time job as a cashier when she heard a buzz from her phone. She took it out and saw a few notification from different apps on her phone but the one that stood out the most was a text message from Sugawara-kun.

Leah decided to check it later once she reached her friends house for homework. But after a few minutes her phone buzzed even more than usual. Leah took her phone out again and checked the messages.

" Leah, later tonight me and Daichi are going out to see a friend of ours."

" Wanna come with us??"

" If you don't wanna you could stay at your friends house if you like"

Leah stared at her phone for awhile before deciding to join them.

" Okay I'll join you guys, but wait for me I gotta tell my friend."

Leah replied to the message and went to her friend, Miuki's contact. Leah stopped near a bench and started texting Miuki.

" Miuki tonight I cant come to your house cause I'm going to visit some friends tonight."

" I'm sorry for not being able to come but I hope you don't mind."

Leah texted. After a few minutes without a reply, Leah left the spot and headed back to the apartment. But before that, Leah went to a nearby vending machine just down the road beside her to grab a drink for her and Daichi as he was having a long shift at work today.

As Leah arrived closer to the apartment building, she heard a buzz again and immediately pulled out her phone and checked her notifications. It was from Sugawara and Miuki. Leah checked Miuki's first before checking Suga's

"No worries!! I was also planning to go somewhere but decided to stay for our meet up."

" There's nothing to be sorry about."

" I notice you say sorry alot, I'll ask you why when we meet up at school again."

Leah sighed with relief, she was expecting Miuki to be sad but she seemed positive about it. Leah then went to Sugawara's chat as she walked into the apartment building.

" Cool!! I can finally introduce you to my friends."

Leah smiled knowing Suga was glad she wanted to come. As she entered the elevator, she noticed a group of people inside already. Leah just thought they were guest or new people renting an apartment since she haven't seen them before.

The elevator slowly closed its doors and started moving upwards. Leah took her earplugs out from her side bag, plugged it in to her phone , and started playing Girl In Red.

( Cause why not I listen to it on a daily basis by now)

Leah heard soft murmurs thru her earplugs, she decided to ignore it and turned the volume in her earplug higher, but it didn't help her.

" It's been a long time since we visited them."

"Yeah, wonder how their holding up with the loads of homework."

" I don't think they'll have a problem catching up with the load work, especially Suga."

As the elevator reached the 12th floor, Leah stepped out and walked along the hallway. As she passed by room 183, she looked back and noticed the same group of people behind her.

" They must be going the same route, no need to worry" Leah thought. She took the spare keys Daichi gave her out of her pocket as apartment room 201 as in her view. Leah stepped on to the welcome mat outside the apartment room before the door burst open.
